CJ Lim (born Chwen Jeng Lim, 1964 in Malaysia‘LIM, Prof. C. J.’, Who's Who 2013, A & C Black, an imprint of Bloomsbury Publishing plc, 2013; online edn, Oxford University Press, Dec 2012; online edn, Nov 201accessed 7 Aug 2013/ref>) is the Academic Professor of Architecture and Urbanism at The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment at University College London (UCL); and served as Vice-Dean and Pro-Provost of University College London. He is the founder and director of CJ Lim Imaginarium, a creative academy dedicated to fostering distinctive and idiosyncratic imagination, and Studio 8 Architects, a UK-based multidisciplinary and international practice in sustainable urban planning, architecture and landscape, focusing on interpretations of social, cultural and environmental programmes. Urbanism
Urbanism is the study of how inhabitants of urban areas, such as towns and cities, interact with the built environment. Social Space
A social space is physical or virtual space such as a social center, online social media, or other gathering place where people gather and interact. Some social spaces such as town squares or parks are public places; others such as pubs, websites, or shopping malls are privately owned and regulated. Urban resilience describes the ability of a city or urban community to withstand, recover from or adapt to man-made and natural disasters. Worshipful Company Of Chartered Architects
The Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects is the 98th Livery Company of the City of London. The company was established in 1984, was granted Livery status in 1988 and received a Royal Charter in 2019. The Company promotes quality architecture in the City of London through education as well as its awards programmes. Its annual New City Architecture Award is given to the building which is deemed to make the most significant contribution to the streetscape and skyline of the City of London in the qualifying period.
