CJML-FM
CJML-FM is a radio station in Milton, Ontario broadcasting on 101.3 MHz. Owned by Local Radio Lab Inc., the station covers the immediate Milton area from its transmitter at X. The CRTC first received an application from My Broadcasting Corporation on May 27, 2015. On August 2, 2017, the station was finally able to sign on the air. It also receives co-channel interference east of Milton due to CJSA-FM in Toronto also broadcasting on the same frequency and also CKOT-FM in Tillsonburg. On April 8, 2020 the CRTC approved an application by My Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) to increase the average effective radiated power (ERP) from 228 to 480 watts (maximum ERP from 950 to 2,000 watts) and by changing the orientation of its directional antenna. CJML-FM will remain at 101.3 MHz. My Broadcasting Corporation is a Canadian broadcasting company founded in 2004 by Jon Pole and Andrew Dickson. Based in Renfrew, Ontario, the company operates a number of radio stations in small to medium sized markets in Ontario. All of its stations offer local news, weather, sports and community events seven days a week. History The roots of My Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) date back to Ottawa Valley Radio in the mid-1980s ( CKOA Arnprior and CKOB Renfrew). Those stations were owned by Jamie Pole, the father of current MBC co-owner and President Jon Pole. Milton (2016 census population 110,128) is a town in Southern Ontario, Canada, and part of the Halton Region in the Greater Toronto Area. Orangeville, Ontario
Orangeville (Canada 2016 Census 28,900) is a town in south-central Ontario, Canada, and the seat of Dufferin County. History The first patent of land was issued to Ezekiel Benson, a land surveyor, on August 7, 1820. That was followed by land issued to Alan Robinet in 1822. In 1863, Orangeville was named after Orange Lawrence, a businessman born in Connecticut in 1796 who owned several mills in the village. As a young man, he moved to Canada and settled in Halton County. During Upper Canada Rebellion, Mackenzie's rebellion in 1837, he was a captain in the militia. Alliston is a settlement in Simcoe County in the Canadian province of Ontario. It has been part of the Town of New Tecumseth since the 1991 amalgamation of Alliston and nearby villages of Beeton, Tottenham, and the Township of Tecumseth. Tillsonburg is a town in Oxford County, Ontario, Canada with a population of 18,615 located about 50 kilometres southeast of London, on Highway 3 at the junction of Highway 19. History Prior to European settlement, the present site of Tillsonburg was home to Indigenous tribes. The Tillsonburg Village Site, a 14th century Iroquoian village, was excavated in 2001 and 2008, in the northwest corner of the town, and contained 15 longhouses.
