CJIB-FM (107.5 Hertz, MHz) is a radio station in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. Owned by the Jim Pattison Group, it broadcasts an adult hits format branded as ''Beach Radio 107.5''. History The station began broadcasting in 1947 in radio, 1947 as CJIB at AM broadcasting, AM 940 kHz and went through different ownerships over the years. The station was affiliated to CBC Radio's Dominion Network from 1949 until 1962. On March 15, 2001 in radio, 2001, CJIB was converted to the FM band at 107.5 MHz becoming Vernon's first ever FM radio station. In late 2001, CJIB adopted new call letters as CKIS which lasted until 2003 in radio, 2003 (now assigned to CKIS-FM, a station in Toronto), at which time it took the callsign CKIZ, and changed formats to hot adult contemporary. CKIS-FM (92.5 FM, ''Kiss 92.5'') is a radio station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Owned by Rogers Radio, a division of Rogers Sports & Media, the station broadcasts a contemporary hit radio format. The station was founded on January 26, 1993, as CISS-FM under the ownership of Rawlco Communications, and initially aired a " New Country" format. The Canadian Communications Foundation (CCF) was a Canadian nonprofit organization which documented the history of broadcasting in Canada, particularly radio and television networks, programs and broadcasters. The organization was established in 1967 and announced that it would begin wrapping up its work in 2023. Since 1995, the organization distributed its collection via its website. The CCF was established in 1967 by the Canadian Association of Broadcasters. Its mission: to "commemorate throughout Canada the development of electronic communications".
