Climate Investment Funds
The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) were established in 2008 as a multilateral climate fund in order to finance pilot projects in developing countries at the request of the G8 and G20. The CIF administers a collection of programs with a view of helping nations fight the impacts of climate change and accelerate their shift to a low-carbon economy. Tariye Gbadegesin, a Nigerian-American national, is the current CEO of CIF. CIF works in partnership with governments, the private sector, civil society, local communities, and six major multilateral development banks (MDBs). CIF investments are overseen by a governing board that provides equal authority to donor and recipient countries with input from official observers representing the private sector, civil society, and indigenous peoples. Champions Indoor Football (CIF) was a professional indoor American football minor league created in 2014 out of the merger between the Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL) and Lone Star Football League (LSFL), plus one team from the Indoor Football League and two expansion teams. The league maximum player salary as of 2022 was $200 per game, along with housing, medical and meal expenses. Counter Insurgency Force
The Counter Insurgency Force (CIF) is a Police tactical unit of West Bengal Police with headquarters in Garia. It was created by the West Bengal state government in 2010 along the lines of the Greyhounds in Andhra Pradesh to combat proscribed Naxalites and Maoists in the state. CIF (''Common Intermediate Format'' or ''Common Interchange Format''), also known as FCIF (''Full Common Intermediate Format''), is a standardized format for the picture resolution, frame rate, color space, and color subsampling of digital video sequences used in video teleconferencing systems. The CFTR inhibitory factor (Cif) is a protein virulence factor secreted by the Gram-negative bacteria ''Pseudomonas aeruginosa'' and '' Acinetobacter nosocomialis''. The Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) was a building in the Kennedy Space Center industrial area that functioned as the core of instrumentation and data processing operations during the Apollo program and the early years of the Space Shuttle program. It centralized the handling of the center's data including offices, laboratories and test stations; and housed general instrumentation activities serving more than one launch complex.
