CIAO MALZ
CIAO MALZ is a Brooklyn-based indie rock project by Filipino American multi-instrumentalist Malia DelaCruz, in collaboration with James Chrisman of Sister. and Felix Walworth of Florist and Told Slant. She is currently signed to Audio Antihero. Early life Malia DelaCruz was born and raised in Waterford, Connecticut. She relocated to New York City in 2014 to attend St. John's University in Queens. Music career DelaCruz started out in music collaborating with h. pruz, James Chrisman and Ceci Sturman, before eventually joining them as Sister.'s live bassist. She began writing their songs under the CIAO MALZ name in 2020, and played her first shows that year. She issued her first single, ''Always Be My Maybe'' on May 28, 2021, and the song was played by WFUV when CIAO MALZ was featured as that day's ''NY Slice'' artist. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand in the early to mid-1980s. Although the term was originally used to describe rock music released through independent record labels, by the 1990s it became more widely associated with the music such bands produced. The sound of indie rock has its origins in the New Zealand Dunedin sound of the Chills, Tall Dwarfs, the Clean and the Verlaines, and early 1980s college rock radio stations who would frequently play jangle pop bands like the Smiths and R.E.M. Kosmos 93
Kosmos 93 ( meaning ''Cosmos 93''), also known as DS-U2-V No.1, was a Soviet satellite which was launched in 1965 as part of the Dnepropetrovsk Sputnik programme. It was a spacecraft, which was built by the Yuzhnoye Design Bureau, and was used to conduct classified technology development experiments for the Soviet armed forces. A Kosmos-2M 63S1M carrier rocket was used to launch Kosmos 93 into low Earth orbit. The launch took place from Site 86/1 at Kapustin Yar. The launch occurred at 05:45 GMT on 19 October 1965, and resulted in the successful insertion of the satellite into orbit. Upon reaching orbit, the satellite was assigned its Kosmos designation, and received the International Designator 1965-084A. ''Under the Radar'' is an American music magazine that features interviews with accompanying photo-shoots. Each issue includes opinion and commentary of the indie music scene as well as reviews of books, DVDs, and albums. The magazine posts web-exclusive interviews and reviews on its website. Items are reviewed based on a rating system in which each album, book, and DVD receives a rating from 1 to 10. The magazine has been in publication since late 2001 and is issued three times per year. The magazine was founded by co-publishers (and husband and wife) Mark Redfern and Wendy Lynch Redfern, who currently run the magazine. Mark is the magazine's Senior Editor and writes many of the magazine's articles. Wendy is the Creative Director and lays out each issue. Amazing Radio
Amazing Radio is an international radio station first broadcast originally on digital radio in the United Kingdom. The station plays new music from a number of music genres including pop music, pop, rock music, rock, Independent music, indie, hip hop, electronica and jazz. The station originally broadcast on the Digital One DAB ensemble, ensemble which replaced the temporary Birdsong (digital radio channel), Birdsong test transmission which had been running for a year and a half beforehand. The station discontinued its DAB presence in 2012 to become an Internet-only radio station, but later returned to DAB in London and Dublin. The station subsequently decided it was not worth paying to be on DAB when so much radio listening is now online. Dandelion Radio is an internet radio station founded in June 2006 with the aim of pursuing the musical legacy of the popular and influential BBC Radio 1 disc jockey John Peel. The station takes its name from the record label Dandelion Records founded and run by Peel between 1969 and 1972. In November 2006 Dandelion Radio was asked by Peel's former production team at BBC Radio 1 to take over the running of the annual Festive Fifty listeners' chart of that year's releases. Açık Radyo (Open Radio 95.0) was an independent radio station broadcasting from Istanbul to metropolitan Istanbul and surrounding areas. The station's format included news, music and talk radio. Structure Açık Radyo first began broadcasting November 13, 1995. It was a regional radio station, founded as a private company (as required by Turkish law) but functioning similarly to a nonprofit organization. It had 92 partners, holding near-equal shares. WMFO (91.5 FM) is a freeform radio station licensed to Medford, Massachusetts. The station is owned by Tufts University and is run by students and community members. WMFO is funded by the Tufts Student Activities Fee as allocated by the TCU Senate and through community donations. WMFO occupies the entire third floor of Curtis Hall on the campus of Tufts University. Studio A houses the main broadcast studio. Studio Dee, named for late Boston music writer and WMFO DJ Mikey Dee, is used for live performances that undergo professional mixing, recording and effects processing in the adjacent Studio B.
