CFVD-FM
CFVD-FM, also known as Horizon 95,5 and Plaisir 95,5, is a French language hot adult contemporary radio station that operates at 95.5 FM in Dégelis, Quebec, Canada. Created by Radio Dégelis Inc., the station was licensed in 1978 at 1370 kHz AM with a transmitter of 1000 watts, and was licensed to convert to FM in 1994. CFVD-FM applied twice to the CRTC, in 2006 and 2010, to add an FM transmitter at Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec which would operate at 102.5 MHz; they were denied both times. To highlight its 30th anniversary, the station took on the name Horizon FM in 2008. In 2012 the station was acquired by a group called Attraction Radio, who later morphed into Arsenal Media. Since 2021 Arsenal Media has incorporated the station in its Plaisir branding, which designates pop and nostalgia-oriented content. Rivière-du-Loup (; 2021 population 20,118) is a small city (Quebec), city on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River in Quebec. Canadian Communications Foundation
The Canadian Communications Foundation (CCF) was a Canadian nonprofit organization which documented the history of broadcasting in Canada, particularly radio and television networks, programs and broadcasters. The organization was established in 1967 and announced that it would begin wrapping up its work in 2023. Since 1995, the organization distributed its collection via its website. The CCF was established in 1967 by the Canadian Association of Broadcasters. Its mission: to "commemorate throughout Canada the development of electronic communications". By 2020, the foundation started to wind down as its original mission was largely accomplished. Cabano, Quebec
Cabano is a former city in Témiscouata Regional County Municipality within the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec, Canada. It is situated on Lake Témiscouata on Autoroute 85. On May 5, 2010, it merged with Notre-Dame-du-Lac to form the new city of Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac. In the 2021 census, Cabano had a population of 2419 people.
