CFTV-DT
CFTV-DT (channel 34) is a low-power community television station in Leamington, Ontario, Canada. The station is owned by a local non-profit consortium known as Southshore Broadcasting. CFTV-DT's transmitter is located on South Talbot Road in Cottam, Ontario. CFTV-DT's signal reaches as far as Harrow, Tilbury, and the village of South Woodslee in the town of Lakeshore. The station is available in the Leamington area on Cogeco digital cable channel 100 and Gosfield North IPTV channel 34, and nationwide on Bell Satellite TV channel 586. Currently, viewers in Windsor are unable to view the station as the over-the-air signal is too weak to be received in the city nor is the station available on cable. Leamington ( ) is a municipality in Essex County, Ontario, Canada. With a population of 29,680 in the Canada 2021 Census, it forms the second largest urban centre in Windsor-Essex County after Windsor, Ontario. A flash cut, also called a flash cutover, is an immediate change in a complex system, with no phase-in period. In the United States, some telephone area codes were split or overlaid immediately, rather than being phased in with a permissive dialing period. Ultra high frequency (UHF) is the ITU designation for radio frequencies in the range between 300 megahertz (MHz) and 3 gigahertz (GHz), also known as the decimetre band as the wavelengths range from one meter to one tenth of a meter (one decimetre).
