CE Jenlai
CE Jenlai, also known simply as Jenlai, is an Andorran football team based in the village of Escaldes-Engordany. The club currently plays in Segona Divisió. History CE Jenlai were founded in 2008 under the name of ''Atlètic Amèrica''. During the 2008–09 season the club was renamed CE Jenlai. The Andorran team was playing in Segona Divisió until 2011, for three consecutive seasons. After two seasons, in 2013 the club returned to Segona Divisió recording a notable season finishing 2nd and being able to compete at the promotion play-offs. They lost 1–6 in aggregate against Inter Club d'Escaldes. Two seasons later Jenlai achieved the promotion to Primera Divisió after winning the Segona Divisió title in 2016. Identity The team was mostly composed and founded by Peruvian players. Their current club's crest, introduced in 2013, is a variation of the Peruvian coat of arms. Primera Divisió
The Primera Divisió (First Division) or Lliga Multisegur Assegurances for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of men's football in Andorra. The league was launched in 1995 sponsored by the local federation (Andorran Football Federation) which was created just one year before. Until then, clubs had played since 1970 in an amateur league without a structure or affiliation with any official institution. Since affiliation to UEFA and FIFA in 1996, Andorran clubs are able to compete in the UEFA competitions. Until 2015 the league was known as ''Lliga Grup Becier'' and during 2016 ''Lliga Grup Sant Eloi''. It was renamed in 2017 as Lliga Multisegur Assegurances for sponsorship reasons. All the teams in the league play in the same stadiums owned by the federation. The same occurs in all other Andorran competitions, such as the Copa Constitució and Supercopa. The Segona Divisió (Second Division), or Lliga UNIDA for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest level of men's football in Andorra. Former FC Santa Coloma reserve team were renamed UE Santa Coloma for 2007–08 (therefore eligible for promotion) and finally gained access to the Primera Divisió after finishing top place. Escaldes-Engordany () is one of the 7 parishes of Andorra. The Escaldes-Engordany parish was founded on 14 June 1978 and has the second largest population after Andorra la Vella. The parish is composed of the areas of les Escaldes, Engordany, Els Vilars d'Engordany, Engolasters, and El Fener. As of 2014 it has a population of 13,634. Inter Club d'Escaldes is an Andorran football club based in Escaldes-Engordany. The club currently plays in Primera Divisió. History Inter Club d'Escaldes was founded in Escaldes-Engordany in 1991 and being founder member of Primera Divisió in 1995, the Premier League of Andorra. The club was playing since then in the top flight until April 2015 when the team was relegated after finishing 8th in the regular league. The club returned in Primera Divisió after two seasons, in May 2017. The 2015–16 Segona Divisió, or Lliga Biosphere, is the 17th season of second-tier football in Andorra. The season began on 13 September 2015 and will end on 8 May 2016. Personnel and sponsorship Format This season, the league will consist of fourteen teams. Teams will play each other twice for a total of 26 matches each. The league champion will be promoted to next season's Primera Divisió. The second placed team will play a play-off match for a spot in next season's Primera Divisió. The team captain of an association football team, sometimes known as the skipper, is a team member chosen to be the on-pitch leader of the team; they are often one of the older or more experienced members of the squad, or a player that can heavily influence a game or has good leadership qualities.
