Cees van Dongen (1 February 1932 – 23 December 2011) was a Grand Prix motorcycle road racer from the Netherlands. He competed in the Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championships from 1969 to 1981. Motorcycle racing career Van Dongen was born in Rotterdam. He was the first non-Japanese competitor to ride a Yamaha in a World Championship Grand Prix race, when he rode a Yamaha RA41 to a 13th place finish at the 1961 125cc Dutch TT. Cornelis "Cees" Dekker (born 7 April 1959 in Haren, Groningen) is a Dutch physicist, and Distinguished University Professor at Delft University of Technology. He is known for his research on carbon nanotubes, single-molecule biophysics, and nanobiology. Biography Born in Haren, Groningen in 1959, Dekker studied at University of Utrecht, where he received a PhD in Experimental Physics in 1988. In 1988 Dekker started his academic career as Assistant Professor at the University of Utrecht; in these years he also worked in the United States as Visiting Researcher at IBM Research. It was during this period that Dekker carried out research on magnetic spin systems and on noise in superconductors and semiconductors. Cees van Kooten (; 20 August 1948 – 24 August 2015) was a Dutch former international football striker. After his career he became a football manager, he retired after a heart attack. Cees Keizer (born 8 January 1986) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He works as a youth coach with FC Volendam. Cees Groot (29 June 1932 – 13 March 1988) was a Dutch footballer who played as a striker for Heerenveen, Stormvogels, Ajax, Zaanstreek and the Pittsburgh Phantoms during his career. Club career Heerenveen Groot began his career in the youth ranks of ZVV Zaandijk in his home town, before being recruited, and signing a contract with Heerenveen in 1956. Cees Jan Hamelink (born 14 September 1940) is a Dutch academic known for his work on communication, culture, and technology. He is emeritus professor of international communications and media at the University of Amsterdam; professor in management information and knowledge at the University of Aruba; and professor of media, religion and culture at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He was in a number of boards worldwide; chair of the Dutch League for Human Rights, honorary president of the International Association for Media and Communication Research and chair of Amsterdam World Jazz City 2014. As a discus thrower, he competed at the 1960 and 1964 Summer Olympics and finished in 22nd and 17th place, respectively. Cornelis Martinus Anthinius Maria Doorakkers (born 2 March 1963 in Gilze, Netherlands) is a former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. Cees Doorakker was the 250cc Dutch champion in 1984 and 1986. In 1986 he also reached the championship in the 500cc class. Doorakkers raced in the Grand Prix road race world championship between 1984 and 1995. Being a privateer without factory supported machines, he scored only a few points, his best result being a seventh place at the Yugoslavian Grand Prix in Rijeka in 1990. That season he reached a total of 39 points, 16th in the final ranking. In 1991 he finished the season ranked as the top privateer, ranking 14th overall (40 points). Later years were plagued by lack of money, inferior equipment and bad luck, like the jamming of his new engine in the first race of the season in Australia. Cornelis "Cees" Koch (30 December 1925 – 13 February 2024) was a Dutch canoe sprint, sprint canoeist who competed from the late 1940s to the late 1950s.
