CEAM Modèle 1950
The CEAM Modèle 1950 was a prototype assault rifle chambered in the .30 Carbine round. It was developed by Centre d'Etudes et d'Armement de Mulhouse (CEAM) of France during the late 1940s/early 1950s, as a development of the German StG 45(M) assault rifle. The three initial prototypes, designated Modèle 1, were chambered in 7.92×33mm Kurz, 7.65×35mm (an experimental French cartridges developed by Cartoucherie de Valence), and .30 Carbine. All succeeding prototypes (Modèle 1949, Modèle II, and the definitive Modèle 1950) were chambered in .30 Carbine. All versions of the design included a combined bipod/handguard and a folding buttstock. Due to economic considerations, with France fighting the Indochina War and being the second biggest NATO contributor, the weapon was cancelled. CETME
CETME () is a Spanish government design and development establishment. While being involved in many projects CETME was mostly known for its small arms research and development. The Spanish government hired former semiautomatic weapon designers from the Third Reich for the organization. The CETME Model 58 and CETME Model L are its most notable projects. Cristóbal Carbine
The .30 Kiraly-Cristóbal Carbine, also known as the San Cristóbal or Cristóbal Automatic Rifle was manufactured by the Dominican Republic’s Armería San Cristóbal Weapon Factory. History and development Although called a carbine, the gun may be termed a submachine gun since it is identical to the Hungarian Danuvia 43M submachine gun. Both weapons were designed by Hungarian engineer Pál Király, who came to the Dominican Republic as an expatriate in 1948. The gun's name is a reference to the San Cristóbal Province, which is the birthplace of the late Dominican dictator, Generalissimo Rafael Trujillo. The Dominican Republic's military was the main user of this weapon although it was also exported to Cuba prior to the Cuban Revolution. Ludwig Vorgrimler
Ludwig Vorgrimler (7 September 1912 – 23 February 1983) is the man most commonly associated with the design of the Spanish roller-delayed CETME rifle, and its prolific offspring from the German gunmaker Heckler & Koch such as the G3, HK21, P9 and MP5. Early career with Mauser Born in Freiburg, Germany, Vorgrimler worked as an engineer for several arms manufacturers over his long career. He briefly worked for the Krupp factory from January to November 1936. From there, he was recruited by Ott-Helmuth von Lossnitzer, the director of Mauser Werke's Weapons Research Institute and Weapons Development Group.
