Club Deportivo Galapagar is a Spanish football club based in Galapagar, in the Community of Madrid. Founded in 1969, the club play in the . History Founded in 1969, the club began playing in 1972, achieving an immediate promotion to the ''Segunda Regional Ordinaria Castellana''. Galapagar
Galapagar is a town and municipality northwest of Madrid, Spain, situated in the autonomous community of the Community of Madrid. Of all the towns in the area, it was experiencing the most growth, mostly because of immigration and the conversion of old livestock fields into terrain for construction. Bordering with Collado Villalba, Colmenarejo, Torrelodones, Las Rozas de Madrid, El Escorial, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Villanueva del Pardillo, Hoyo de Manzanares, Moralzarzal and Guadarrama. The name Galapagar comes from the Spanish ''galápago'', meaning turtle, as the town centre was settled near a lake full of turtles. The 2021–22 Tercera División RFEF season was the first for the national fifth level in the Spanish football league system. The league has 18 groups like the former fourth tier Tercera División. Competition format *The group champions were promoted to 2022–23 Segunda División RFEF. *The next four eligible teams in each group played in the promotion play-offs. *The champion of each group qualified for 2022–23 Copa del Rey.
