CD Covadonga
Club Deportivo Covadonga is a Spanish football team based in Oviedo, in the autonomous community of Asturias. Founded in 1979 it plays in Tercera División RFEF – Group 2, holding home games at ''Estadio Juan Antonio Álvarez Rabanal'', with a 2,000-seat capacity. History CD Covadonga was founded in 1979 by José Antonio Álvarez Rabanal, priest of the parish of Our Lady of Covadonga, Oviedo, with the aim to give a way to development as people to the local youth. It started to play its games in the Asturian Regional divisions in the field of the ''Fundación Masaveu'' while the club was negotiating with the Oviedo City Hall for the transfer of a piece of ground in Los Castañales, neighbourhood of Teatinos, for building a new football field. Oviedo
Oviedo (; ast, Uviéu ) is the capital city of the Principality of Asturias in northern Spain and the administrative and commercial centre of the region. Segunda División B
Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. It was below the top two professional leagues, the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga) and the '' Segunda División'', and above the '' Tercera División''. 2020–21 Segunda División B
The 2020–21 Segunda División B season was the 44th since its establishment and the last as the third tier. A total of 102 teams participated, and were distributed in three groups of 20 teams each and two groups of 21, with eight subgroups of ten teams each and two with eleven teams each. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the expansion of the league to what were initially five groups of 20 teams each for the 2020–21 season due to promotion from the Tercera División groups in the curtailed past season being applied. The season began on 18 October, following approval by each of Spain's autonomous regions' health departments. For next season the Segunda División B was demoted to the fourth level and dropped the B in its name in favour of the federation's Spanish initials RFEF on the creation of a new, two-group, 40-team third division called Primera División RFEF. 2019–20 Tercera División
The 2019–20 Tercera División is the fourth tier of Spanish football. It began in August 2019 and was supposed to end in late June 2020 with the promotion play-off finals. On 11 March 2020, the season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the premature end of the leagues, revoking all relegations and planning an eventual promotion playoff to be played if possible. Each regional federation would be allowed to plan their own group for the 2020–21 season.
