CCTV-5 (), also known as the Sports Channel, part of the China Central Television family of networks, is the main sports broadcaster in the People's Republic of China. CCTV-5 began broadcasting on 1 January 1995. CCTV-5 now broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. CCTV-5+
CCTV-5+ (), formerly CCTV-HD, is China Central Television's channel designated to broadcast top international sporting events in High-definition television, high-definition. It was tested in Beijing on 24 December 2007, and launched officially on 1 May 2008 as CCTV-HD. CCTV-HD was created specifically for the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Paralympics. Due to there having been several more HD CCTV broadcast channels in China, CCTV changed the channel name to "CCTV-5+ Sports Plus" on 16 August 2013. It's the second sports channel of the CCTV network. This channel was previously only available for selected cable/satellite providers, but is now widely available. CCTV-14
CCTV-14 is a Chinese free-to-air television channel that was launched on 28 December 2003 and is owned by the China Central Television. It airs animated films and series as well as kids game shows and other young-oriented programmes. Before its launch, CCTV children's programs were broadcast on CCTV-7. History Test transmissions of the channel were started on 8 December 2003. Its first broadcast was made on 10 December 2003 with a duration of 16 hours. CCTV-1 (CCTV General Channel) is the primary channel of CCTV, the national flagship terrestrial television network of the People's Republic of China. It broadcasts a range of programs from CCTV Headquarters at East 3rd Ring Road in Beijing and is available to both cable and terrestrial television viewers. The terrestrial signal of CCTV-1 is free-to-air across China. The Winter Paralympic Games is an international multi-sport event where athletes with physical disabilities compete in snow and ice sports. The event includes athletes with mobility impairments, amputations, blindness, and cerebral palsy. The Winter Paralympic Games are held every four years directly following the Winter Olympic Games and (since 1992) hosted in the same city. BWF World Championships
The BWF World Championships is a badminton tournament organized by the Badminton World Federation. It's the most prestigious badminton competition, offering the most ranking points, along with the Summer Olympics badminton events introduced in 1992. The winners of the tournament are World Champions of the sport and are awarded a gold medal. The tournament started in 1977 and was held once every three years until 1983. However, the International Badminton Federation faced difficulty in hosting the first two events as the World Badminton Federation, which later merged with the IBF to form one badminton federation, hosted the same tournament a year after the IBF World Championships with the same goals. Badminton Asia Confederation
Badminton Asia is the governing body of badminton in Asia. It is one of the five continental bodies under the flag of the Badminton World Federation. Established in 1959, it was headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia until it moved to Maldives briefly in 2021. In 2023, it was announced that it would be moved back to Malaysia.
