C4P
Samochód półgąsienicowy wz. 34 (literally "Half-track car, year 1934 model") was a Polish halftrack lorry. It was produced in a variety of variants, the best-known of them being the C4P artillery tractor used by the Polish Army in the period before World War II. The vehicle was based on a 2.5 tonne Polski Fiat 621, Fiat 621 truck, licence-built by Polski Fiat in Poland at the time. In 1934 Edward Habich of the Bureau for Technical Studies of the Armoured Arms (BBT BP) designed a half-track version of the Fiat 621 lorry, initially dubbed the Mark 1934 halftrack cargo lorry (). Both Fiat 621 and wz. 34 shared the majority of parts, notably the slightly modified frame, the engine and the crew compartment. There were many notable differences as well though. Kégresse Track
A Kégresse track is a kind of rubber or canvas continuous track which uses a flexible belt rather than interlocking metal segments. It can be fitted to a conventional car or truck to turn it into a half-track, suitable for use over rough or soft ground. Conventional front wheels and steering are used, although skis may also be fitted. A snowmobile is a smaller ski-only type. The mechanism incorporates an articulated bogie, fitted to the rear of the vehicle with a large drive wheel at one end, a large unpowered idler wheel at the other, and several small idler-wheel#idler pulley, guide wheels in between, over which run a reinforced flexible belt. Polski Fiat 621
Polski Fiat 621 was a Polish 2.5-tonne truck, the basic lorry of the Polish Army during the 1930s. It was built under an agreement between Fiat and PZInż. The Polish version of the Fiat 621 was heavily modified to better suit Polish needs and cope with the harsh weather and bad roads in Poland. The undercarriage was produced in two variants: The Polski Fiat 621 L was the basic variant to receive a number of superstructures while the Polski Fiat 621 R was used as the basis for a line of successful buses for the civilian market and heavier, 3-tonne lorries for the army. The AMC Schneider P 16, also known as the AMC Citroën-Kégresse Modèle 1929 or the ''Panhard-Schneider P16'', was a half-track that was designed for the French Army before World War II. Development The P 16 was developed in 1924 by Citroën from the earlier Citroën-Kégresse Modèle 1923, one of the models applying the Kégresse track. It was very similar in conception but had an enlarged armoured hull, built by Schneider, and a stronger 60 hp Panhard engine. In June 1925 an order was obtained for a pre-series of four vehicles.
