C. S. Schilbred
Cornelius Severin Scheel Schilbred, often referred to as C. S. Schilbred (13 December 1906 – 10 April 1985) was a Norwegian genealogist, historian and educator. A school teacher and headmaster by occupation, he wrote extensively, and chaired the Norwegian Genealogical Society and the Norwegian Heraldry Society. Early life He was born in Eidanger as a son of Lieutenant Colonel Cornelius Mathias Schilbred (1878–1949) and Marie Henriette Petersen (1885–1965). In 1939 he married Margrethe Lomsdal (1908–2000). Schilbred grew up in Eidanger and Oslo. He finished his secondary education in 1925, enrolled in law studies and graduated with the cand.jur. degree in 1931. While studying he was an editor of the politically conservative periodical ''Minerva'', and in 1928 a member of the board of the Norwegian Students' Society. Norwegian Genealogical Society
Norwegian Genealogical Society ( no, Norsk Slektshistorisk Forening, NSF) is a genealogical society in Oslo, Norway. It was founded on 22 October 1926 as the first exclusively Norwegian genealogical society. Among the founders were Stian Herlofsen Finne-Grønn, Christoffer Morgenstierne Munthe and Sigurd Segelcke Meidell. The two former had already published the periodical ''Norsk tidsskrift for genealogi, personalhistorie, biografi og litteraturhistorie'' since 1906; in 1927 the Norwegian Genealogical Society launched ''Norsk slektshistorisk tidsskrift'' as its official periodical. Their internal magazine is ''Genealogen''. The organization also runs a genealogical library. Otto Sverdrup Engelschiøn
Otto Sverdrup Engelschiøn (30 October 1902 – 8 May 1982) was a Norwegian marketer, businessperson, resistance member and genealogist. He was born in Oslo, Kristiania as a son of consul-general Søren Dass Brodtkorb Sverdrup Engelschiøn (1867–1909) and Janka Hansen (1869–1935). In 1928 he married Gudrun Irgens Garmann. Engelschiøn examen artium, finished his secondary education in 1922 and graduated from the University of Oslo, Royal Frederick University with the cand.jur. degree in 1926. He was an attorney from 1927, and also director of I. Sverdrup Engelschiøn which had the rights to distribute Swedish Tomten (company), Tomten products in Norway. In 1929 it was merged with Norsk Barnengens Tekniske Fabrik. Engelschiøn spent the rest of his career in the company, from 1929 as director of the sales and marketing department and from 1948 to 1968 as co-owner.
