C. J. McCollum
Christian James McCollum (born September 19, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Lehigh Mountain Hawks and was named the Patriot League Player of the Year in both 2010 and 2012. McCollum was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the tenth overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft. He was chosen as the NBA Most Improved Player in 2016. McCollum was traded to the Pelicans in 2022, ending his nine-year stint with the Blazers. McCollum was elected president of the National Basketball Players Association in 2021, replacing Chris Paul. Three-Point Contest
The Three-Point Contest is a National Basketball Association (NBA) contest held on the Saturday before the annual All-Star Game as part of All-Star weekend. The 2019 iteration of the contest involved ten participants. From its introduction in 1986 to 2018, eight participants were selected to participate in each season's shootout. In 2002–2003 to 2012-2013 there were six participants. Tyler Herro of the Miami Heat is the most recent winner of the event, which was held at Chase Center in San Francisco. The 2009–10 Lehigh Mountain Hawks men's basketball team represented Lehigh University during the 2009–10 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. The NBA's Most Improved Player (MIP) is an annual National Basketball Association (NBA) award given to the player who has shown the most progress during the regular season compared to previous seasons. The winner is selected by a panel of sportswriters throughout the United States and Canada, each of whom casts a vote for first, second and third place selections.
