Club Deportivo Árabe Unido is a professional association football, football club located in Colón, Panama that plays in Liga Panameña de Fútbol, the top tier of the Panamanian football pyramid. The club plays its games in Estadio Armando Dely Valdés. Its name, Árabe Unido, means "Arab United" in English, is emphasised from its original Arab root of the club. History The club has been one of the most successful in Panama in recent years, winning 15 titles (more than any other team since 1998) and finishing second five times. It was founded in 1990 by Arab immigrants to Panama, under the name of Club Atlético Argentina, and experienced immediate success. 2017 CONCACAF League
The 2017 CONCACAF League (officially the 2017 Scotiabank CONCACAF League for sponsorship purposes) was the inaugural edition of the CONCACAF League, a association football, football club competition organized by CONCACAF, the regional governing body of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The tournament was created as part of a new CONCACAF club competition platform consisting of two tournaments (CONCACAF League and CONCACAF Champions League) and a total of 31 teams competing during the season (an increase from the previous 24 teams), with 16 teams competing in the CONCACAF League from August to October, and the winner of the CONCACAF League joining the 15 direct entrants competing in the CONCACAF Champions League from February to April. Julio Dely Valdés
Julio César Dely Valdés (born March 12, 1967) is a Panamanian former professional footballer who played as a striker. He is a twin brother of Jorge Dely Valdés and younger brother of Armando Dely Valdés. Club career Born in Colón, Dely Valdés began his professional career in 1987 in Argentina with Deportivo Paraguayo of Argentina (after trying out with the Argentinos Juniors' Squad), where he scored 28 goals. He then moved to Club Nacional de Football in Uruguay, where he scored more than 100 goals and won the Uruguayan Championship in 1992. José Alfredo Poyatos
José Alfredo Poyatos López (born 27 November 1964) is a retired football midfielder. Club career Poyatos played for local sides Chorrillo and Tauro and in El Salvador for Cojutepeque where he played alongside compatriots Rubén Guevara, René Mendieta and Percival Piggott. International career Poyatos made his debut for Panama in a May 1986 friendly match against the Dominican Republic and has earned over 20 caps. Ramón Vecinos
Jose Ramón Vecino Fernández (19 February 1958 – 5 July 2009) was a Spanish football player and manager. Managerial career Born in Quereño, Ourense, Vecinos managed several junior sides in his native Spain. He moved to Costa Rica after he earned his official coaching licence. In October 2002 he took charge at Costa Rican top division side San Carlos after a spell at Herediano. In March 2003 he was dismissed at Costa Rican side San Carlos. Amílcar Henríquez Espinosa (August 2, 1983 – April 15, 2017) was a Panamanian footballer. Club career Born in Panama City, Henríquez began his club career with local side Árabe Unido. He spent one season with Costa Rica with Santacruceña before moving to Colombia in 2009. He became an important player for Atlético Huila and joined Independiente Medellín in July 2012. After a season back at Árabe Unido, he returned to Colombia to play for second division side Real Cartagena in December 2014. Armando Enrique Cooper Whitaker (born 26 November 1987) is a Panamanian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Cooper began his career in the youth ranks of Panama's Árabe Unido. In 2006, he debuted for the professional side, and went on to help the team to achieve various domestic titles in the Liga Panameña de Fútbol. In July 2011, he signed with Argentine club Godoy Cruz. 16-17 is a band from Basel, Switzerland. Their music combines punk rock, hardcore punk, jazz and industrial music. Biography 16-17 was founded in 1983 by Alex Buess, Knut Remond and Markus Kneubühler. When the group played its first concerts in 1983 it was received with controversial reactions: there were hardly any groups that played in an approximately similar style.
