Ulf, or Ulv is a masculine name common in Scandinavia and Germany. It derives from the Old Norse word for "wolf" (''úlfr'', see Wulf). Anna Elisabeth Söderström (married name Olow; 7 May 192720 November 2009) was a Swedish soprano who performed both opera and song, and was known as a leading interpreter of the works of Janáček, Rachmaninoff and Sibelius.Elizabeth Sleeman, ''International Who's Who 2004,'' Routledge, 2003. p. 1579. Olga Dahl
Olga Inga Birgitta Dahl (; 20 September 1917 – 3 October 2009) was a Swedish city and family historian. She carried out solid basic research in the National Archives on Gothenburg's root division exploring with great significance the city's personal and building history during the 17th and 18th centuries. Career Olga Inga Birgitta Ström got involved early in Sweden's student-led temperance movement and in the 1940s she wrote articles promoting temperance policies. She received her bachelor's degree in geography, law and economics from Lund University. Torsten Lindberg
Torsten Gustav Adolf Lindberg (14 April 1917 – 31 August 2009) was a Swedish football player and manager. As a player, he won a gold medal at the 1948 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal at the 1950 FIFA World Cup; as a manager he won two league titles with Djurgårdens IF in 1964 and 1966. Lindberg played club football with Husqvarna IF, IK Tord, Örgryte IS and IFK Norrköping. Erland Von Koch
Sigurd Christian Jag Erland Vogt von Koch (26 April 1910 – 31 January 2009) was a Swedish composer. He wrote symphonies, ballets, an opera, and other compositions, including music for film. Life and career Born in Stockholm as the son of composer Sigurd von Koch (1879–1919), Erland von Koch studied at the Stockholm Conservatory from 1931 to 1935 and subsequently passed the advanced choirmaster and organist examinations. Between 1936 and 1938, he lived in Germany and France in order to pursue studies in composition with Paul Höffer, conducting with Clemens Krauss, and piano with Claudio Arrau. Later, he took private classes with Tor Mann in Sweden. Teaching at the Karl Wohlfarts Musikschule from 1939 to 1945, von Koch also spent the final two years of this period working as a sound expert and choirmaster for radio broadcasting. Ingemar Johansson
Jens Ingemar "Ingo" Johansson (; 22 September 1932 – 30 January 2009) was a Swedish professional boxer who competed from 1952 to 1963. He held the world heavyweight title from 1959 to 1960, and was the fifth heavyweight champion born outside the United States. Johansson won the title by defeating Floyd Patterson via third-round technical knockout, stoppage, after flooring him seven times in that round. Anders Isaksson
Rolf Anders Isaksson (9 May 1943 – 17 January 2009) was a Swedish journalist, writer, and historian, possibly best known for his four-volume biography of Swedish social democratic politics and Prime Minister Per Albin Hansson's life. Isaksson was born in Piteå in northern Sweden, and worked for many years as a reporter, and foreign correspondent for radio and television. He was a syndicated columnist at the Dagens Industri business paper, worked for Business Week and worked as an opinion editor for the Dagens Nyheter.
