Sveriges Television AB ("Sweden's Television aktiebolag, Stock Company"), shortened to SVT (), is the Sweden, Swedish national public broadcasting, public television broadcaster, funded by a public service tax on personal income set by the Riksdag (national parliament). Prior to 2019, SVT was funded by a Television licensing in Sweden, television licence fee payable by all owners of television sets. The Swedish public broadcasting system is largely modelled after the system used in the United Kingdom, and Sveriges Television shares many traits with its British counterpart, the BBC. SVT is a public limited company that can be described as a "quasi-autonomous non-governmental organisation." Magnus Samuelsson
Magnus Samuelsson (born December 21, 1969), is a Sweden, Swedish actor, former Strongman and the 1998 World's Strongest Man. Known as the 'king of the stones', he made it to the World's Strongest Man podium 5 times and the finals 10 times. The son of a former Swedish arm wrestling champion, he has also been ranked among the best arm wrestlers in Europe during early to mid 90's with a second place in 1993 as his best performance. He was also renowned for having 'the world's strongest arms and hands'. Early life Samuelsson grew up in a cattle farm in Lineberry where manual labour at a young age with activities such as moving hay and cattle feed, picking up stones on the fields and chopping timber in the forest, gave him formidable physical strength. Let's Dance (Swedish TV Series)
''Let's Dance'' is a Swedish dance competition featuring Swedish celebrities. It is the Swedish version of the British reality TV competition ''Strictly Come Dancing'' and is part of the ''Dancing with the Stars ''Strictly Come Dancing (widely known as Dancing with the Stars)'' is an international television franchise based on the format of the British TV series '' Strictly Come Dancing,'' itself a successor to the show ''Come Dancing'' (1950–1998) ...'' franchise. The series has been broadcast for eighteen seasons on TV4. A jury of three to four people, combined with viewer voting, decides which dance couples will remain in the competition and which will be eliminated each week. Talang 2009
Talang 2009 was the third season of the talent show '' Talang'', the Swedish version of Got Talent. Talang 2009 had its premiere on April 3, 2009. The winner of the show was 30-year-old magician Charlie Caper, and 12-year-old piano player David Movsesian came runner-up. Per Erik Magnus Grönwall (born 3 December 1987) is a Swedish hard rock and Heavy metal music, heavy metal singer. In 2009, he won the Swedish ''Idol (Sweden), Idol'' reality television show, receiving several standing ovations from the jury for his performances over the course of the competition. His first single, "Higher (Erik Grönwall song), Higher", reached gold on digital downloads after only three days. Idol 2009 (Sweden)
Idol 2009 was the sixth season of the Swedish idol series and was broadcast by TV 4. The jury, identical to the previous year, consisted of Anders Bagge, Laila Bagge and Andreas Carlsson. Peter Jihde, the show's host, was also a continuation of the previous year's cast. The audition cities visited during the spring of 2009 were Gothenburg, Gävle, Malmö, Stockholm and Umeå, respectively. Around 11,000 people applied for Idol 2009, establishing a new Swedish record. During auditions in Stockholm on 25 April, Idol 2008 winner Kevin Borg performed for the candidates, as well as Johan Palm who finished fourth in Idol 2008. In Gothenburg, Erik Segerstedt from Idol 2006 performed; and in Malmö, Sibel from Idol 2005. ''Idol'' is a Swedish reality-competition talent show broadcast on TV4. It was first aired in August 2004, and became one of the most popular shows on Swedish television. Part of the ''Idols'' franchise, it originated from the reality program ''Pop Idol'' created by British entertainment executive Simon Fuller, which was first aired in 2001 in the United Kingdom. The program seeks to discover the best singer in Sweden through a series of nationwide auditions. The outcomes of the later stages of the competition are determined by public phone voting. The format features three judges who give critiques of the contestants' performances. Since ''Idol'' started in 2004, the show has featured five different line-ups of judges, a total of nine different judges, as well as twelve different presenters (including sidekicks in 2011 and 2013). ''Superhjältejul'' (Superhero Christmas) was the 2009 '' SVT Christmas calendar'' in Sveriges Television (broadcast in the channel SVT1), directed by Carl Englén, and the manuscript is written by Jan Vierth, Anders Sparring and Pasqual Vallin Johansson. This TV-series followed the TV-series '' Supersnällasilversara och Stålhenrik'' and was recorded during spring 2009. Since 2010 it is able to buy it on DVD. Comedy Central () was a Swedish television channel owned by Paramount Networks EMEAA. Viacom International Media Networks have said that the channel will feature both original Swedish productions made for the channel and imported content. The channel applied for license to broadcast in the terrestrial network in Sweden in February 2008 and on March 27, 2008 they were granted a license to broadcast nationally between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. (initially timesharing with Nickelodeon) from January 1, 2009. V Series is a Swedish television channel broadcasting TV series. The channel launched on 16 February 2009 as TV1000 Drama. The same day, all TV1000 channels in the Nordic countries got new logos and graphics.
