Badminton Sweden () is the governing body for the sport of badminton in Sweden. The organization was established in 1936, and hosts the annual Swedish Open tournament. It has been affiliated with Badminton World Federation since 1937 and affiliated to Swedish Sports Confederation since 1942. Sigrid Björkegren
Sigrid Björkegren (1845–1936), was a Swedish shipowner.Sigrid Magdalena Lovisa Björkegren, http://www.skbl.se/sv/artikel/SigridMagdalenaLovisaBjorkegren, Svenskt kvinnobiografiskt lexikon (artikel av Linus Karlsson), hämtad 2020-07-12. She was born to the mayor of Simrishamn, Folke Kraak, and Catharina Elisabeth Werngren. In 1866, she married the shipowner Johan Daniel Björkegren. They had two daughters and one son. During her marriage, she was an active business partner of her spouse. She managed the Björkegren Shipping Line after the death of her spouse in 1898 until 1916. It was the biggest sailing shipping line in Sweden at the time. She also took over the Chairmanship of the AB Njord Insurance company. At the time when she took over the company, the Sailing ships were declining on favor of the Steamboat, and Sigrid Björkegren gradually decreased the sail ships. Elma Danielsson
Elma Danielsson née Sundquist (1 March 1865, Falun - 8 February 1936, Lomma), was a Swedish journalist and politician (Social Democrat). She was a temporary editor of the social democratic paper '' Arbetet'' from 1887 onward, and has been referred to as the first woman in the social democratic press. Life Elma Danielsson was born in Falun. She worked as a teacher in the public school system and moved to Malmö with her fiancée Axel Danielsson, with whom she had an on and off relationship from their engagement in 1881 onward - they married sixteen years later, in 1897. The couple had a son together, Atterdag (1891-1895). Danielsson published the radical social democratic paper '' Arbetet'' in Malmö, and Elma participated in the paper as a journalist from 1887 onward. When Axel was imprisoned for blasphemy in 1889, she managed the paper until his release in 1890. In 1891, she moved to the United States, but returned to Sweden in 1895. Arvid Lindman
Salomon Arvid Achates Lindman (19 September 1862 – 9 December 1936) was a Swedish rear admiral, industrialist and conservative politician who served as Prime Minister of Sweden from 1906 to 1911 and again from 1928 to 1930. He has been described as one of the fathers of modern Sweden. He was also the leader of the conservative Moderate Party, General Electoral Union () between 1912 and 1935 as well as leader of ''Lantmanna- och borgarepartiet'' (a member party of the General Electoral Union) from 1913 to 1935, except for a short while during 1917 when he served as Minister for Foreign Affairs (Sweden), Minister for Foreign Affairs. John Albrechtson
John Albrechtson (22 July 1936 – 27 August 1985) was a Swedish sailor. Between 1968 and 1978 he won one Olympic gold medal and three gold, one silver and one bronze medals at the world championships. Biography Albrechtson started his sailing career in the Stjärnbåt class and moved on to Star class in 1957. He won his first Star Swedish Championships in 1966. The same year, together with Paul Elvstrøm, he won the Star World Championship. Between 1971 and 1978 Albrechtson competed in the Tempest class.
