Büyük Düşler
''Büyük Düşler'' (''Great Dreams'') is the fifth studio album by Turkish alternative rock band Mor ve Ötesi. It was released on 9 May 2006. This is an album mainly dealing with the political problems of Turkey and the personal problems of the group members, including loss of family members and relationships. It has a darker tone than their previous albums. The first video was for the song "Şirket" (Corporation), a song criticising capitalism. The second single was chosen as "Küçük Sevgilim" (My Little Darling), and its video was directed by Ketche. Their next single was 'Ayıp Olmaz Mı?'. Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Alternative rock acts achieved mainstream success in the 1990s with the likes of the grunge subgenre in the United States, and the Britpop and shoegaze subgenres in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Tarkan Gözübüyük
Tarkan Gözübüyük (born 15 July 1970 in Erzurum) is the bass player of the Turkish heavy metal band Mezarkabul (known as ''Pentagram'' in Turkey). He is in relationship with Turkish actrist Janset over 20 years. Early life Born in 1970 in Erzurum, he grew up in Bursa. His first encounter with the bass guitar was aged fourteen. Studied ''jazz'' at the Faculty of Music of Bilkent University, in Ankara. Music career Before joining Mezarkabul, he performed as a Jazz bass guitarist and played in his high-school's main orchestra. Harun Tekin
Sami Harun Tekin (born 28 June 1977) is a Turkish singer, musician, and poet. He is one of the founding members and the vocalist of the Turkish rock band Mor ve Ötesi. Biography In 1988, while being a student at German High School in Istanbul, Harun met Kerem Kabadayı with whom he would later establish his first band. In 1996, Harun started his BSc studies at Boğaziçi University, and graduated as a philosophy major in 2001. Following the 1999 earthquake in Turkey, he joined Açık Radio to work at Earthquake Communication Centre. In September 2008, he has appeared on television in ''Kısa Devre'' on the Turkish channel Habertürk, together with the psychiatrist Cem Mumcu and actress Pelin Batu. Kerem Kabadayı (born 20 December 1977) is a Turkish writer and musician (drummer). He is a founding member of the Turkish rock band Mor ve Ötesi. Biography He was born on 20 December 1977 in Ankara, Turkey, to Ülkü (Yulku) Kabadayı and his wife Müjde. Burak Güven
Burak Güven (born October 19, 1975) is a Turkish musician, bass player, and one of the backing singers in the rock band Mor Early life Güven was born in Istanbul, Turkey. From 1993 to 2000, he studied singing at the State Conservatory of Istanbul. Before he became a member of Mor ve Ötesi, he sang in the choir and opera. At age 14, Güven bought his first guitar. At age 15, he joined Virus with four friends and was a vocalist. After disagreements with guitarist Erke Erokay, he left the group. Şebnem Ferah (born 12 April 1972) is a Turkish singer, songwriter, composer, and guitarist. She was the lead vocalist of the all-female hard rock band Volvox until 1994, after which she went on to pursue an illustrious solo career. Her music style varies from pop rock to hard rock though her later albums have progressively incorporated more of the hard rock sound.
