Bóthar
Bóthar is a charity operating in Ireland and the United Kingdom specialising in assisting farmers in developing countries to become self-sufficient by giving them livestock. The charity began in 1989 and sent its first animals in 1991. It is an affiliate of Heifer International. History Foundation T. J. Maher, an MEP, farmers' leader and company director, co-founded Bóthar and served as its first chairman. Other founders included Peter Ireton. Members of the inaugural board included former Archbishop of Cashel and Emly, Dermot Clifford and then Church of Ireland Bishop of Limerick, Edward Darling. T. J. Dermot Clifford
Dermot Clifford, (born 25 January 1939), was the Catholic Archbishop of Cashel and Emly in Ireland from 1988 to 2014. From 7 March 2009 to 27 January 2013, he also served as the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Cloyne. He was a founding board member of Bothar. Early life and education Clifford was born in Ballymacelligott, County Kerry, Ireland, on 25 January 1939. He was educated at Clogher National School and St Brendan's College, Killarney. Among his teachers at St. Brendan's was the late Bishop of Kerry, Diarmaid Ó Súilleabháin. From Killarney, he moved to St Patrick's College, Maynooth, where he graduated with a BSc Degree in 1960. After Maynooth, he was sent to the Pontifical Irish College where he studied for four years and was ordained priest on 22 February 1964. Santa Hat
A Santa suit is a suit worn by a person portraying the legendary figure Santa Claus. The modern American version of the suit can be attributed to the work of Thomas Nast for ''Harper's Weekly'' magazine, although it is often thought that Haddon Sundblom designed the suit in his advertising work for The Coca-Cola Company. Sundblom's work did standardize the western image of Santa, and popularized the image of the red suit with white fur trim. This has become the image of the American Santa, while in some European countries where Saint Nicholas remains popular, the outfit worn is closer to religious clothing, including a Bishop's mitre. Mary Arrigan
Mary Arrigan (born 15 February 1943) is an Irish illustrator, artist and novelist, focusing on children's books. Life Arrigan was born Mary Nolan in Newbridge, County Kildare on 5 February 1943 to Brendan Nolan and Marian Maher. She had one brother who went on to become a doctor.
