Bílovec
Bílovec (; german: Wagstadt) is a town in Nový Jičín District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 7,300 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an Cultural monument (Czech Republic)#Monument zones, urban monument zone. Administrative parts Villages of Bravinné, Lhotka, Lubojaty, Ohrada, Stará Ves and Výškovice are administrative parts of Bílovec. Výškovice forms an Enclave and exclave, exclave of the municipal territory. Geography Bílovec is situated mostly in the Nízký Jeseník mountain range. A small part of the territory extends into the Moravian Gate. Bílovec lies on the banks of the Bílovka River. Bílovec Reservoir is located on the outskirts of the town. Felix Ivo Leicher
Felix Ivo Leicher (18 or 19 May 1727 – 20 February 1812) was a Czech-Austrian painter of altarpieces and secular works, which was spread to a wide area throughout the Habsburg monarchy, Habsburg Empire and beyond. Early life He was born in the Silesian town Bílovec, today on the wall to the right of the main entrance of the parish church is a plaque that hangs in his memory. He was apprenticed to a weaver, and later studied cutlery at school. But his break came in a local painter shop with Francis Andrew Schaffer, where he learned the basics of painting. Painting excited him and it became his entire life. From 1751 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, and in 1754 in a competition he received the second prize for painting ''Anointing Saul the King'' (today, this image is a preparatory sketch in the German National Museum in Nuremberg), which had secured the support of the future of this school. Květa Peschke
Květoslava Peschke (née Hrdličková; born 9 July 1975) is a Czech retired professional tennis player who was ranked world No. 1 in doubles. She reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 26 in November 2005, winning one WTA singles title in Makarska in 1998, but achieved most of her success in doubles. Peschke claimed her first Grand Slam title at the 2011 Wimbledon Championships, partnering Katarina Srebotnik. Miloš Holaň
Miloš Holaň (born April 22, 1971) is a retired Czech professional ice hockey player and currently the head coach of HC Poruba of the 1st Czech Republic Hockey League, the second tier in the Czech Republic. He played 49 games in the National Hockey League between 1993 and 1996 with the Philadelphia Flyers and Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, as well as several seasons in the Czechoslovak and Czech Extraliga. Nízký Jeseník (german: Niederes Gesenke, pl, Niski Jesionik) is a flat highland and geomorphological mesoregion of the Czech Republic. It is located in the east of the country in the Olomouc and Moravian-Silesian regions. Nízký Jeseník is the largest Czech geomorphological region, and is known for the former volcanic activity. Johann Ignaz Cimbal
Johann Ignaz Cimbal (1722 – 27 December 1795) was an Austrian painter and etcher, who produced many altarpieces and frescoes for churches, monasteries and other Church buildings. He painted many works in Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia, Vienna and Hungary. Life He was born in Wagstadt and attended the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna from 1742 until he graduated in 1753. He may have been a foundling at the Brothers of Charity and also may have been taught some painting before 1742; documentary evidence is scant. Cimbal became friends with the painter Felix Ivo Leicher and the sculptor Raymond Sieß, whom he may have met in Vienna. Sieß sponsored some of Cimbal's children at their baptisms. The Reichsgau Sudetenland was an administrative division of Nazi Germany from 1939 to 1945. It comprised the northern part of the ''Sudetenland'' territory, which was annexed from Czechoslovakia according to the 30 September 1938 Munich Agreement.
