Båven () is a lake in the municipalities Flens, Gnesta, and Nyköping in Södermanland, Sweden. The lake is characterized by branches and many islands, with over 500 km of shoreline. Vibyholm Castle
Vibyholm Castle ( sv, Vibyholms slott) is a manor house at Årdala, Flen Municipality, Sweden. The main building is located on an island in Lake Båven. History Vibyholm was built between 1622 and 1630 in Dutch High Renaissance style under design by Dutch architect Caspar van Panten (1585-1630). Restoration was made in 1798 following drawings by Swedish architect Carl Christoffer Gjörwell (1766-1837). In the middle of the 19th century, restoration to the house was undertaken under the direction of Swedish architect Lars Jacob von Röök (1778-1867). Sparreholm Castle
Sparreholm Castle ( sv, Sparreholms slott) is a manor house in Flen Municipality, Södermanland County, Sweden. The estate is located on Lake Båven just outside the community of Sparreholm in Hyltinge parish. History The main house received its current appearance in the 1890s according to drawings by architect Johan August Westerberg (1836-1900). At the manor there is a conference facilities and a café. Sparreholm automobile museum is located in a separate hall building east of the manor. South of the manor in the former carriage house is a large collections of jukeboxes.
