Bárður Eyþórsson

	Bárður Eyþórsson Bárður Eyþórsson (born 10 January 1968) is an Icelandic former basketball coach and player. He was twice named the coach of the year of the men's Úrvalsdeild, in the 2003–04 season and in the 2005–06 season, when he coached the Snæfell. Playing career Club career Bárður came up through the junior ranks of Snæfell but moved to Valur at the age of sixteen and played his first senior match in 1986. He played 191 games in the Úrvalsdeild karla from 1986 to 2000 and averaged 14.6 points per game. National team Bárður played three games for the Icelandic national basketball team from 1991 to 1992. Coaching career Bárður was hired as the head coach of Snæfell men's team in 2000. He guided the club to promotion from Division I to the Úrvalsdeild karla in 2002 and to the Icelandic Basketball Cup finals in 2003, where it lost to Keflavík. 	Keflavík Men's Basketball The Keflavík men's basketball team, commonly known as Keflavík, is the men's professional basketball department of Keflavík ÍF (Keflavík, íþrótta- og ungmennafélag), based in the town of Reykjanesbær in Iceland. They currently play in Úrvalsdeild karla. Rivalry with Njarðvík Keflavík's biggest rivals are their closest neighbours, Njarðvík. The teams are both based in Reykjanesbær. Keflavík and Njarðvík were neighbouring towns but were merged in 1994 and formed Reykjanesbær. Their arenas are within one kilometre of each other. In the 2008–09 season the rivalry was intensified as the men's teams were coached by brothers, Sigurður Ingimundarson with Keflavík and Valur Ingimundarson with Njarðvík. 	Borce Ilievski Borce Ilievski (born August 3, 1972) is a Macedonian-Icelandic professional basketball coach. In 2019 he was named the Úrvalsdeild karla Coach of the Year after guiding ÍR to the Úrvalsdeild finals. Coaching career In 2006, Ilievski was hired as an assistant coach to KFÍ's men's team as well as the head coach of the club's youth program. He took over as head coach of the men's team in end of November 2006 after Baldur Ingi Jónasson resigned. After winning the 1. deild karla with the team in 2010, and achieving promotion to the top-tier Úrvalsdeild karla, Ilievski was not retained by the club at the conclusion of his contract despite also being the 1. deild karla Coach of the Year.
