Yosef Asaf Borger (; born 20 October 1987), known professionally as Borgore, is an Israeli EDM producer, DJ, singer-songwriter and rapper. He is the founder of the label Buygore Records. Biography Yosef Asaf Borger was born to a Jewish family in Holon, Israel, and was raised in Tel Aviv. He has a brother named Tax. Borger moved to Los Angeles in 2012. Borger returned to Israel in November 2023, shortly after the birth of his daughter, Ellie and now lives in Hungary with his family. He is the founder of Buygore Records and is the former drummer of Israeli deathcore band Shabira. Self-described as "Gorestep", his music includes triplet drum patterns with heavy metal influences. Songs have been sonically suggestive of horror movies, farm animal vocalizations, and sex. He has released tracks under Dim Mak Records, Spinnin' Records, Sumerian Records, Shift Recordings, and his own label, Buygore. Dim Mak Records is an independent, Los Angeles–based record label, events company, and lifestyle brand founded by Steve Aoki in 1996. The label has released music under the genres of punk, indie rock, hardcore, hip hop, and electronic dance music. History Early years Steve Aoki started Dim Mak Records in 1996 at the age of 19, out of his college apartment at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The label's first release was a 7-inch record by a hardcore punk band called Stickfigurecarousel. The name "Dim Mak" is a reference to Bruce Lee's Death Touch martial art technique. Diamanté Anthony Blackmon (born January 3, 1991), known professionally as Gordo (stylized GORDO) and formerly known as Carnage (or DJ Carnage), is an American disc jockey, record producer, and former rapper. Cédric DePasquale (, born 7 June 1979), better known by his stage name Cedric Gervais (), is a French DJ, record producer and actor residing in Miami Beach, Florida. "Decisions (Bitches Love Cake)" is a 2012 song by Israeli record producer Borgore featuring American recording artist Miley Cyrus. It was independently released through online music stores on July 10, 2012, with its accompanying remixes extended play (EP); it was released as a stand-alone track on February 8, 2013. Cyrus' inclusion on the song was initially not publicized, with the intention of it making its own impact separate from her reputation, although Cyrus later confirmed the collaboration. "Decisions" is a dubstep track that lyrically discusses the general desire for wealth and success, frequently mentioned as "bitches love cake" during the track. Spinner was an online music and entertainment service. An AOL Music property, it was acquired by AOL on June 1, 1999, along with Nullsoft for $400 million.
