Jocky Wilson
John Thomas "Jocky" Wilson (22 March 1950 – 24 March 2012) was a Scottish professional darts player. After turning professional in 1979, he quickly rose to the top of the game, winning the World Professional Darts Championship in 1982, then again in 1989. Wilson competed in all major darts tournaments of the era and won the British Professional Championship a record four times between 1981 and 1988. A contemporary and rival of Eric Bristow, Bob Anderson and John Lowe, Wilson's ungainly appearance and rough-hewn lifestyle belied his prowess in the sport. He was dogged by health problems, however, and suddenly retired from the game in December 1995. He withdrew from public life and rarely appeared in public or gave interviews before his death in March 2012. Bob Sinnaeve
Bob Sinnaeve (born October 10, 1949) is a Canadian former professional darts player. Early career Sinnaeve took up darts in 1973 as an alternative to bowling, as he felt the darts circuit would give him more time to spend with his wife, Judy. He first appeared at the World Masters in 1979 and made his World Professional Darts Championship debut in 1982, but lost in the first round to Alan Evans. World Championship record Sinnaeve appeared at the World Championship on ten occasions, but managed to win only three matches in that time. He lost in the first round on his first four attempts (1982, 1984, 1985 and 1986), and finally won a match in 1987, producing a major upset by beating Dave Whitcombe, who reached the final in the previous year. His only other match wins came in 1988 against Horrie Seden, and in 1991 against Eric Burden. His last appearance at the World Championship came in 1992, when he lost 1–3 to Paul Lim. Terry O'Dea
Terence O'Dea (3 May 1945 – 18 May 2021) was an Australian professional darts player who competed in the 1970s and 1980s. Career O'Dea joined the BDO in March 1978. O'Dea played in ten successive BDO World Darts Championships with his best run coming in 1982 and 1986 where he reached the quarter-finals. O'Dea also played in four World Masters tournaments, reaching the quarter-finals in 1984. He appeared on the UK television show Bullseye presented by Jim Bowen in 1984 where he scored 300 points (in 9 darts) for charity. He appeared two years later and scored 305. O'Dea quit the BDO in 1988. Bob Anderson (darts Player)
Robert Charles Anderson (born 7 November 1947) is an English former professional darts player who won the 1988 BDO World Darts Championship. Nicknamed The Limestone Cowboy, He was the World No. 1 player for over three years in the late 1980s. Before darts Anderson threw his first darts maximum (180) at the age of just seven, with brass darts with feather flights. He became a champion athlete during his teenage years, and was selected as a javelin thrower for the British Olympic team of 1968, however, broke his arm before the team left for Mexico, an injury which ended his javelin-throwing career. He then turned his attention to football – playing to a moderately high standard for Lincoln United, Guildford City, Woking and Farnborough Town.
