Busovača
Busovača () is a town and municipality located in Central Bosnia Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located from Sarajevo, from Zenica, and from Travnik. History During the Croat–Bosniak War, the city saw heavy fighting between the Bosnian Army and the Croatian Defence Council. Croat–Bosniak War
The Croat–Bosniak War or Croat–Muslim War was a conflict between the Bosniak-dominated Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia, supported by Croatia, that lasted from 18 October 1992 to 23 February 1994. It is often referred to as a "war within a war" because it was part of the larger Bosnian War. In the beginning, the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) fought together in an alliance against the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) and the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS). Marinko Čavara
Marinko Čavara (born 2 February 1967) is a Bosnian Croat politician serving as member of the national House of Representatives since 2022. He previously served as the 10th president of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2015 to 2023. Čavara was a member of both the Federal House of Peoples and Federal House of Representatives as well. He is a member of the Croatian Democratic Union. Early life Marinko Čavara was born in Busovača to Niko and Anđa Čavara on 2 February 1967. He attended elementary school in Busovača, graduating in 1981. The Central Bosnia Canton (, ) is one of 10 cantons of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Senad Brkić (born 3 September 1969) is a Bosnian former professional footballer and current football manager who is in charge of the Čelika Zenica under-19 team. Club career In his career Brkić played for Bosnian club Čelik Zenica on two occasions (1988–1994 ; 2000–2006), Croatian club Rijeka (1994–1998) and Turkish club Altay (1998–2000). Rudolf Arapović
Rudolf Arapović (December 8, 1937 – August 3, 2007) was a Croatian writer and dissident who was born in the Central Bosnian town of Busovača and died near Samobor. Biography As a young child, he found himself in the Bleiburg Tragedy, with most of his family being persecuted by the Socialist regime of Yugoslavia. Due to his brother Pero being a part of the Crusaders, Rudolf and his family were interned to the city of Zavidovići where he would attend elementary school. In the city of Visoko, Rudolf Arapović would attend schooling at the Monastery of Saint-Bonaventure during the years 1955 to 1959, graduating and learning Latin in the process. It is noted that the UDBA (Yugoslav Secret Police) followed Rudolf during his schooling at Visoko.
