Bus Azur
Palm Bus is a brand of bus transport, bus services serving the Southern French city of Cannes, France. The operator, Veolia Transport Cannes is responsible for operating the Bus Azur buses for Syndicat Intercommunal des Transports Publics, SITP, grouping the Communes of France, communes of Cannes, le Cannet et Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Théoule-sur-Mer and Mougins. History 1933–2014: Cannes buses history The city of Cannes was, until 1933, served by an urban tramway system, the Tramway de Cannes, as well as an inter-urban tramway, the Tramway de Nice et du Littoral until 1953. The first bus services within Cannes and between Cannes and le Cannet began in 1936. The Promenade de la Croisette (), or Boulevard de la Croisette, is a prominent road in Cannes, France. It stretches along the shore of the Mediterranean Sea and is about 2 km long. He also created a subsidiary company for the production of buses, which was later sold in 1980 and trades as Heuliez Bus. The Heuliez GX 437 is a single-decker bus made by the French bus manufacturer Heuliez Bus designed for use in public transport, and is the articulated version of the Heuliez GX 337. The GX 437 is the successor to the Heuliez GX 427, which went out of production at the end of 2013. Diesel, Hybrid and Electric powered versions of the GX 437 exist. Together with the GX 137 and GX 337 the Heuliez GX 437 forms a series called ''Access BUS'' 3rd generation. Design and characteristics The bus was designed on a Iveco Bus Urbanway 18-chassis. Heuliez Bus is a French limited company, former part of Heuliez. It was formed in 1979. It is an Iveco subsidiary and specialised in manufacturing buses and coaches.
