Burt Kelly (producer)
Burt Kelly (October 6, 1898 – 1983) was an American film producer and writer. He was best known for Columbia Pictures' Blondie series. He founded KBS Productions Inc. in 1932, along with Samuel Bischoff, Sam Bischoff and William Saal. Career Kelly was a former stock company manager who entered the film industry as a booking agent for the Paramount-Publix, Paramount Publix theater chain. He later functioned as an executive with Educational Pictures, a purveyor of comedy Short film, two-reelers, and then Poverty Row’s Tiffany Pictures. In 1932, Kelly founded KBS Productions with Samuel Bischoff, Sam Bischoff and William Saal. Adrienne Dore
Adrienne Dore (born Elizabeth Himmelsbach; May 22, 1907 – November 26, 1992) was an American actress, model, and beauty pageant winner. She was first runner-up in the Miss America 1925 pageant, competing as Miss Los Angeles. Dore went on to have a modest career in motion pictures before retiring in 1934. Early life Adrienne Dore was born Elizabeth Himmelsbach in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to Louis Joseph Himmelsbach and Edith Estelle Kell. The family moved to Yakima and then Seattle, Washington where she attended school at a convent. She performed in her first musical there at age three. Her education at Forrest Ridge Convent was in general studies but she focused on dancing and the theater. ''Blondie's Reward'' is a 1948 American comedy film directed by Abby Berlin and starring Penny Singleton, Arthur Lake, Larry Simms, and Marjorie Ann Mutchie. It is the twenty-third of the 28 Blondie films. Plot Dagwood purchases the wrong real estate property and Mr. Dithers promptly demotes him to office boy. Dagwood's substitute is sent to deliver blueprints to the estate home of a wealthy client, Mr. Dixon, and gets into a fistfight with Dixon's unwanted son-in-law. The delighted Dixon mistakenly thinks the substitute was Dagwood, and asks Dagwood for a personal boxing lesson, as a pleased Mr. Dithers restores Dagwood to his former position.
