Burshtyn
Burshtyn (, ) is a city located in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, in western Ukraine, to the north of Halych. It is accessible by railroad, rail. Burshtyn hosts the administration of Burshtyn urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: It developed rapidly and significantly grew in population during the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, Soviet period. Administratively, Burshtyn is incorporated as a City of regional significance (Ukraine), city of regional significance. The town, which was one of the Jewish shtetls, and whose name in Ukrainian language, Ukrainian and Polish language, Polish literally means ''amber'', was only granted city status in 1993 and has a special administrative status in Halych Raion. As an urbanized settlement from 1944 to 1962, it was the main town of the raion. Burshtyn TPP
Burshtyn TPP is a coal-fired power plant of Zakhidenergo located in Ivano-Frankivsk Raion south-east from Burshtyn, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine. It was built in the Soviet Union, Soviet era and is now part of Rinat Akhmetov's holdings. The plant has two chimneys which were built in 1966 are also used as high-voltage pylon. The plant has 12 units with a total installed capacity of 2,334 MW. It has a 330 kV double-circuit connection to the 750/330 kV substation called ZahidnoUkrainska (WestUkraine). The rest of Ukraine was connected to the Soviet-era IPS/UPS network (effectively controlled by Russia) until early 2022, when it switched to the synchronous grid of Continental Europe, controlled by European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E). FC Enerhetyk Burshtyn was a professional Ukrainian football club based in Burshtyn, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. History The club was formed in 1948 and was previously called ''Kolhospnyk'' (Collective] farmer), ''Avanhard'' (Vanguard) and ''Henerator'' (Generator). Halych Raion
Halych Raion () was a raion (district) of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (region) in Ukraine. The town of Halych served as the administrative center of the district. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Oblast to six. Ivano-Frankivsk Raion () is a raion (district) of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine. It was created in July 2020 as part of the reform of administrative divisions of Ukraine.
