''Burn City'' is an album released by Australian hip hop artist MC Pegz on 15 October 2007. This recording features appearances from Australian MCs Drapht, Funkoars, Muph, Vents and others. Californian MC Planet Asia also collaborates on the track "Diligent Music". It peaked at No. 70 on the ARIA Album Chart, No. 10 on the ARIA Urban Album Chart and No. 4 on the ARIA Hitseekers Albums chart. The album's tracks were featured on national radio station, Triple J. According to Khalil Hegarty of ''The Age'' declared that Pegz "has made the Australian hip-hop scene his own." During 2008 he toured Australia to promote the album. Pegz
Tirren Staaf, otherwise known as Pegz (or MC Pegasus), is an Australian hip hop artist and producer hailing from Melbourne, Victoria. He was the CEO of Obese Records—the record label responsible for artists such as Hilltop Hoods, Downsyde, and Bias B. Biography Tirren Staaf has said that he was named after Tiran Porter, former member of the Doobie Brothers. Pegz has been a part of the Australian hip hop scene since 1992, and has released four full-length studio albums. As a teenager he was first a graffiti artist before becoming a rapper. In 2000, he got a job at Obese Records, a specialist hip-hop music store in Prahran. He released his first recording, an EP, ''Pegasus'', on the Obese label in 2001, followed by a studio album, ''Capricorn Cat'' in 2003 and ''Axis'' in 2005. Triple J
Triple J is an Australian government-funded national radio station founded in 1975 as a division of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). It aims to appeal to young listeners of alternative music, and plays far more Australian content than commercial networks. The station was set up under the Gough Whitlam government, wanting to extend the appeal of the ABC to young Australians. Initially broadcasting as 2JJ or Double Jay from 19 January 1975, it stood apart from commercial stations with its lack of private advertising and its fringe music programming. Joseph Lardner, better known by the stage name Vents and also known as Vents One, Vents 1 and Vents Uno, is an Australian hip hop artist from Adelaide, South Australia. He has released two albums, 2007's ''Hard to Kill'' and 2011's ''Marked for Death''. The latter was nominated for an ARIA Music Awards, ARIA Music Award. The Sunshine Coast Daily is an online newspaper specifically serving the Sunshine Coast region of Queensland, Australia. It is owned by News Corp Australia. It was originally founded as a print newspaper, however since 2020 the publication is only available in digital forms.
