Burleigh Heads Soccer Club is a semi-professional soccer club based in Burleigh Heads, Queensland, Australia. The club play in the Football Queensland Premier League 3 − South Coast, the top flight of the Football Queensland South Coast administrative division and the fifth flight of the Australian soccer league system. The club have won 5 premierships, 5 championships and 2 President's Cups within the division. The club was founded in 1981 from the remnants of the Pacific Colts (at the time the Senior team of Palm Beach Soccer Club), where it competed within the Gold Coast first division and was an inaugural member of the Gold Coast Premier League in 1991. Pizzey Park
Pizzey Park is an open-air sports and recreation precinct in Miami, a suburb in the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The site is owned and operated by the Gold Coast City Council. History The Pizzey Park sporting complex was established on a site in 1969, and was named after the former Queensland Premier Jack Pizzey. The site of Pizzey Park was previously a garbage dump. The Australian Institute of Sport established their training facilities for canoe/kayak at Pizzey Park in June 1991 at a cost of $500,000. The park was expanded to accommodate this additional facility, extending westward into the neighbouring suburb of Mermaid Waters. The Gold Coast City Council released the Pizzey Park Masterplan in 2021. Football Queensland South Coast is a Football Queensland administrative zone encompassing the Gold Coast and surrounding areas in South-East Queensland and North-East New South Wales, including Kingscliff, Tweed Heads, Murwillumbah and Beaudesert.
