Bunny Mack
Bunny Mack (born Cecil Bunting MacCormack 3 December 1945 – 11 July 2015) was a Sierra Leonean musician, singer, songwriter and performer. He was best known for his song "Let Me Love You". Early life Mack was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone. He began playing the harmonica and penny-whistle at the age of six. He made his first public appearance when at the age of eight, and played with friends in the band called The Daverns Career Bunny Mack rose to fame and became popular in the global music scene after the release of his song "Let Me Love You", which became a disco hit in 1981. He was voted Musician of the Year by ''African Muzik Magazine'' and received a Gold Disc for "Let Me Love You". In November 2009, American rapper Wale (rapper), Wale made a remix version of the song that was included on the album ''Attention Deficit (album), Attention Deficit''. Freetown, Sierra Leone
Freetown is the capital and largest city of Sierra Leone. It is a major port city on the Atlantic Ocean and is located in the Western Area of the country. Wale (rapper)
Olubowale Victor Akintimehin (born September 21, 1984), better known by his stage name Wale ( ), is an American rapper. He first gained recognition in 2006, when his song "Dig Dug (Shake It)" became popular in his hometown, leading Wale to became locally recognized as he continued recording music for the regional audience. Wale met English DJ-producer Mark Ronson in 2006 and joined his label, Allido Records in 2007. While signed to that label, Wale released several mixtapes and appeared in national media including MTV and various Black American-focused magazines. ''Attention Deficit'' is the debut studio album by American rapper Wale. It was released on November 10, 2009, by Allido Records and Interscope Records. The production on the album was handled by multiple producers including Mark Ronson, Cool & Dre, The Neptunes, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and David Sitek among others. The album also features guest appearances by Lady Gaga, Gucci Mane, J. Cole, Pharrell Williams and Jazmine Sullivan among others. ''Attention Deficit'' was supported by three singles: " Chillin", " World Tour" and " Pretty Girls". The album received generally positive reviews from music critics and received moderate commercial success. Sierra Leone Creole People
The Sierra Leone Creole people ( kri, Krio people) are an ethnic group of Sierra Leone. The Sierra Leone Creole people are lineal descendant, descendants of freed African-American, Afro-Caribbean, and Sierra Leone Liberated African, Liberated African slaves who settled in the Western Area of Sierra Leone between 1787 and about 1885. The Sierra Leone Colony and Protectorate, colony was established by the Kingdom of Great Britain, British, supported by abolitionists, under the Sierra Leone Company as a place for freedmen. The settlers called their new settlement Freetown. Originally published by Longman & Dalhousie University Press (1976). Today, the Sierra Leone Creoles are 1.2 percent of the population of Sierra Leone.
