PT Bumi Resources Tbk is one of the largest mining, mining companies in Indonesia and is structured as a holding company. In the 2012 Forbes Global 2000, Bumi Resources was ranked as the 1898th-largest public company in the world. It is the biggest producer of thermal coal in Indonesia and is majority owned by the Bakrie Group. Bumi Thomas (born 1983) is a Scottish-Nigerian jazz-folk-soul singer-songwriter and guitarist. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland, but grew up in Nigeria. Now London-based, and frequently found performing in smaller venues around the city, she released her debut EP, ''Feather Pearl'', in November 2014. Buumi (many variations : Buumy, Bumy, Bumi, etc.) was a royal title in the pre-colonial Serer Kingdoms of Sine, Saloum and Baol, as well as in the Jolof Empire. Among the Serer In the Serer kingdoms, the Buumi was the first in line to inherit the throne of the Maad a Sinig (King of Sine) or Maad Saloum (king of Saloum). In some cases, a Buumi could act as regent if the king was too young, as was the case with Maad a Sinig Ama Joof Gnilane Faye Joof, whose uncle was appointed regent until he came of age. In Sine, the Buumi usually resided at Somb Rongodior.
