Buli Mahato
Buli Mahato was a revolutionary leader of the Bhumij Rebellion and Kol Rebellion. He was a zamindar of the Kudmi community of Karadih village in Sonahatu Thana, Jharkhand. Overview He revolted in 1831 against the exploitation of British rule to avenge the exploitation of the British. He joined the Kol Rebellion as a prominent revolutionary leader in the eastern frontier Silli, Tamar, Sonahatu and then Jangalmahal areas, Ranchi district of Jharkhand and Barabhum, Jhalda, Manbazar, Hura, Jaipur, Baghmundi etc. in Manbhum. Sonahatu
Sonahatu is a village in the Sonahatu CD block in the Bundu subdivision of the Ranchi district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Geography Location Sonahatu is located at . The Subarnarekha River forms the boundary with Purulia district in West Bengal before flowing through Seraikela Kharsawan district. Joypur is a census town in the Joypur CD block in the Jhalda subdivision of the Purulia district in the state of West Bengal, India. There is a factory producing muri (puffed rice). Andaman And Nicobar Jail
The Cellular Jail, also known as Kālā Pānī (), was a British colonial prison in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The prison was used by the colonial government of India for the purpose of exiling criminals and political prisoners. Many notable independence activists were imprisoned there during the struggle for India's independence. Today, the complex serves as a national memorial monument. Originally built with seven wings, the building suffered extensive damage during the earthquake in 1941. Later, two wings were dismantled during the Second World War by the Japanese, who repurposed the bricks for constructing bunkers and other structures. After India gained independence, two more wings were demolished in the 1950s to make way for the nearby Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital. Today, only the watchtower and three wings (1, 6, and 7) remain. Purulia district () is one of the twenty-three districts of West Bengal state in Eastern India. Purulia is the administrative headquarters of the district.
