Bulevar Nemanjića
Bulevar Nemanjića ( sr-cyr, Булевар Немањића, "Boulevard of the Nemanjić dynasty"), formerly ''Bulevar Lenjina'' ("Vladimir Lenin, Lenin Boulevard") and commonly known as ''Bulevar'', is a street and urban neighbourhood of Niš, in southeastern Serbia. Bulevar is located in the center of Medijana, Medijana municipality, bordered to the south by the boulevard (avenue) itself, to the north of the Nišava river and to the east by the neighborhood of Trošarina. Traditionally only the first row of apartment buildings south of Bulevar Nemanjića street was considered as part of the neighborhood, concretely the area of small individual family houses comprising unnamed area between Bulevar Nemanjića and other neighborhoods situated on Bulevar Zorana Đinđića. Medijana ( sr-cyr, Медијана) is one of five city municipalities which constitute the city of Niš. It is the central and the most populous city municipality of Niš with a population of 85,969 inhabitants. Geography The municipality borders Pantelej municipality in the north, Niška Banja municipality in the east, Palilula municipality in the south, and Crveni Krst municipality in the west. Nemanjić Dynasty
The House of Nemanjić ( sr-Cyrl, Немањић, Немањићи; Nemanjić, Nemanjići, ) was the most prominent Serbian dynasty of Serbia in the Middle Ages. This princely, royal and imperial house produced List of Serbian monarchs, twelve Serbian monarchs, who ruled between 1166 and 1371. Its progenitor was Stefan Nemanja, scion of a cadet branch of the Vukanović dynasty (1101–1166). After Nemanja, all monarchs used ''Stefan (title), Stefan'' as a personal name, or a ruler's name, a tradition adopted for the royal pretensions. The monarchs began as Grand Princes, and with the crowning of Stefan the First-Crowned, Stefan Nemanjić in 1217, the realm was promoted to a Kingdom, and the Serbian Orthodox Church was established in 1219. Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov ( 187021 January 1924), better known as Vladimir Lenin, was a Russian revolutionary, politician and political theorist. A boulevard is a type of broad avenue planted with rows of trees, or in parts of North America, any urban highway or wide road in a commercial district. Nišava
The Nišava or Nishava ( Bulgarian and sr-Cyrl, Нишава, ) is a river in Bulgaria and Serbia, a right tributary, and with a length of also the longest one, of the South Morava. Course Bulgaria The Nišava originates in western Bulgaria, in the Stara Planina mountains (east of Kom Peak) near the village of Gintsi. Its source is close to the Serbian border.
