Brøndbyvester () is a Danish town, seat and main settlement of the Brøndby Municipality, in the Region Hovedstaden. It is known for housing the stadium of football team Brøndby IF. History The town is the original core of Brøndby and sometimes is simply named in that way. Anders Jochumsen
Anders Jochumsen (born 28 January 1981) is a Danish former professional footballer and manager. He is currently working as a youth development coach at Vallensbæk IF. He has represented the Danish Under-21, Under-19, Under-17 and Under-16 national teams a total of 25 times scoring 5 goals. Career Jochumsen started out as a trainee with Brøndby IF and has since represented several Danish clubs including Odense Boldklub and Akademisk Boldklub before moving to Lyngby Boldklub in the summer of 2006. He scored 16 league goals for Lyngby Boldklub in his first season with them. Brøndby Stadium
Brøndby Stadium (, ) is a football stadium in Brøndbyvester, Denmark. It is the home ground of the Danish Superliga club Brøndby IF. The venue is the second-largest stadium in Denmark. Built in 1965 and inaugurated on 31 July 1966 where it had no stands, it saw a major redevelopment in 2000 which increased capacity to 31,500 spectators, of which 19,700 were seated. Continuous adjustments to the spectator facilities have since resulted in the stadium having a total capacity of 28,000 spectators, of which 23,400 are seated. Record attendance dates to 18 June 2003, where a crowd of 31,508 were present in a Copenhagen Derby against F.C. Copenhagen. When hosting the UEFA competitions Champions League and Europa League, seats are installed on the South End terraces () in accordance with UEFA regulations, which reduces the total capacity to 26,000. Brøndby Strand
Brøndby Strand (in English: 'Well Town' Beach) is a suburb in Brøndby Municipality, approximately south-west of central Copenhagen, Denmark Overview Brøndby Strand contains a large housing project, in which 8,000 of the suburb's 11,000 inhabitants live. The area is known for having various social problems: many of the inhabitants are unemployed. Of the total population, 60% are immigrants or Denmark, Danes with immigrant parents, most of whom live in the housing projects. It contains about a dozen high-rise residential estates of a big multicultural mix, and is home to a number of successful hip hop and urban rap artists of national and international stature. Caroline Pleidrup Gram (born 11 December 2000) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Italian Serie A club Inter Milan and the Denmark national team. Mikkel Bødker (surname alternately spelled Boedker; born 16 December 1989) is a Danish former professional ice hockey right winger. He was selected eighth overall by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, making him the highest-ever drafted Danish player.
