Bríet
Bríet Ísis Elfar (born 22 March 1999), known mononymously as Bríet, is an Icelandic singer known for her songs "Esjan",'''' "Feimin(n)", and "Rólegur kúreki". Her album ''Kveðja, Bríet'' was selected as the album of the year at the 2021 Icelandic Music Awards. Early life Bríet was born in Reykjavík and studied at Menntaskólinn við Hamrahlíð. She began performing at off-venue concerts at Iceland Airwaves at the age of 15 in addition to singing at jazz bars. Career Bríet sings in Icelandic and English and writes her songs in collaboration with Pálmi Ragnar Ásgeirsson, who is a member of the music production team StopWaitGo. Her first single, "In Too Deep", came out in 2018. She performed "Feimin(n)" with Aron Can. Her album ''Kveðja, Bríet'' came out in 2020. Kaleo (band)
Kaleo (stylized as KALEO) is an Icelandic blues rock band which formed in Mosfellsbær in 2012. It consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Jökull Júlíusson, drummer Davíð Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjánsson, lead guitarist Rubin Pollock and harmonicist Þorleifur Gaukur Davíðsson. They have released four studio albums, ''Kaleo'' (2013), '' A/B'' (2016), ''Surface Sounds'' (2021), and ''Mixed Emotions'' (2025), as well as the EP ''Glasshouse'' (2013). Ásgeir Trausti
Ásgeir Trausti Einarsson (; born 1 July 1992) is an Icelandic singer-songwriter and musician. In his Icelandic releases, he was credited as Ásgeir Trausti. In 2013, he started using the mononym Ásgeir as his recording name. He performs with his own band, the Ásgeir Trausti Band. He also plays guitar in the Icelandic band The Lovely Lion. Career Ásgeir's debut album '' Dýrð í dauðaþögn'' was released in 2012. The lead single, "Sumargestur", made it to number two on the Tónlist, an unofficial but widely quoted Icelandic Singles Chart, followed by the single "Leyndarmál" (six weeks at number 1 on Tónlist) and the title track "Dýrð í dauðaþögn" from the album (three weeks at #1 on Tónlist). Rás 2 (''Channel 2'') is an Icelandic radio station belonging to the National Icelandic Broadcasting Service, RÚV. Launched on 1 December 1983, it is currently the highest-rated radio station in Iceland, with a schedule composed chiefly of news, current affairs, and pop and rock music. Broadcasting Rás 2 is broadcast throughout the country from a network of 90 FM transmitters (99.9 MHz is the channel's main frequency in Reykjavík), via terrestrial DTV radio (DVB-T2) and is also streamed on the Internet.
