Bryce Wandler
Bryce Wandler (born February 25, 1979) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. Wandler played major junior hockey in the Western Hockey League from 1996 to 2000. He was rewarded for his outstanding play during the 1999–2000 WHL season by being awarded the Del Wilson Trophy as the league's top goaltender. Wandler was also named to the 1999–2000 Canadian Hockey League Second All-Star Team. Wandler went on to play three seasons (2000 – 2003) of professional hockey in the North American minor leagues. American Hockey League
The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL). Since the 2010–11 season, every team in the league has an affiliation agreement with one NHL team. When NHL teams do not have an AHL affiliate, players are assigned to AHL teams affiliated with other NHL teams. Twenty-six AHL teams are located in the United States and the remaining six are in Canada. The league offices are located in Springfield, Massachusetts, and its current president is Scott Howson. In general, a player must be at least 18 years of age to play in the AHL or not currently be beholden to a junior ice hockey team. Del Wilson Trophy
The Del Wilson Trophy is presented annually to the Western Hockey League's goaltender judged to be the best at his position. The award is named after Del Wilson for his many years of service to both the Regina Pats and the League. Wilson was an owner, Governor, and General Manager of the Pats and served 6 years as Chairman of the Board of the WHL. Wilson led the WHL into a partnership with Ontario and Quebec Major Junior Leagues. Previously, the WHL Top Goaltender Award. It was given to the League's Goals Against Average leader. The Allan Cup Hockey West (ACHW) (formerly the Chinook League) is a multi-tier Canadian Senior ice hockey league based in Alberta, on hiatus as of 2021. The ACHW is one of two Allan Cup-eligible ice hockey leagues currently operating in Canada; the other is Ontario's Allan Cup Hockey.
