Bruno Fernandes das Dores de Souza (born 23 December 1984), also known in Brazil as ''Goleiro Bruno'' (the Goalkeeper Bruno), is a Brazilian professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Between 2007 and 2009, he was a key player for Rio de Janeiro giants Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, Flamengo. In 2010, he was charged with Murder of Eliza Samudio, the assault, torture and murder of his extramarital girlfriend and mother of his youngest child, Eliza Samudio. In 2013, he was found guilty of ordering Samudio's murder, hiding the body and kidnapping his baby son, and was sentenced to 22 years in prison, but was released pending appeal in February 2017. In April 2017, Brazil's Supreme Court ordered his re-arrest. Bruno is a town located 90 km east of Saskatoon and 35 km west of Humboldt. Its current mayor is Dale Glessman. Bruno is the only community in the prairies to hold an annual cherry festival. Bruno Clayworks, located 4 km west of Bruno, produced over one million bricks between the years 1905 and the 1960s. The historic Old Fire Hall and Jail, a heritage building housing the Bruno Museum, was built from bricks manufactured at the brick plant, as were many other area buildings. The bricks manufactured by the Bruno Clayworks were a unique sideways "T" shape which allowed rows of bricks to interlock when rotated 180º. Giordano Bruno ( , ; ; born Filippo Bruno; January or February 1548 – 17 February 1600) was an Italian philosopher, poet, alchemist, astrologer, cosmological theorist, and esotericist. He is known for his cosmological theories, which conceptually extended to include the then-novel Copernican model. He practiced Hermeticism and gave a mystical stance to exploring the universe.
