Bruno Campanella (born January 6, 1943, Bari) is an Italian Conductor (music), conductor and a distinguished interpreter of the Italian Opera. He studied composition under Nino Rota and Luigi Dallapiccola. He had Hans Swarowsky and Thomas Schippers as instructors in conducting. Since the late 1970s he has been known worldwide as a specialist in ''Bel canto, Bel Canto''. However, his repertoire also includes works by Maurice Ravel, Igor Stravinsky, and Giuseppe Verdi, among others. Born in Portsmouth, Ohio, Battle initially became known for her work within the concert repertoire through performances with major orchestras during the early and mid-1970s. The Gran Teatre del Liceu (; ; ), or simply Liceu, is a theater in Barcelona, Spain. Situated on La Rambla, it is the city's oldest theater building still in use for its original purpose.
