Bruce Man-Son-Hing
Bruce Man-Son-Hing (born April 13, 1964) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Early life and college Man-Son-Hing, who is of Chinese descent, was born in Grenada on April 13, 1964. His family emigrated to Los Angeles when he was nine years old. He attended Glendale High School and went to college at UC Irvine. Professional career After four years at UC Irvine, Man-Son-Hing joined the professional circuit. He competed in the men's doubles at all four Grand Slam events in 1989, partnering with John Letts. They made the second round of the Australian Open and Wimbledon Championships. He also appeared in the mixed doubles draw at the French Open (with Camille Benjamin) and Wimbledon (with Cynthia MacGregor) but was unable to progress past the first round at either. Peter Wright (tennis)
Peter Wright (born December 8, 1963) is a former Irish American professional tennis player who played for Ireland in the Davis Cup. He was formerly the head tennis coach at the University of California, Berkeley. Playing career Wright, who was born and raised in Berkeley, qualified to represent Ireland in international tennis as it was the country of his parents. He appeared in 13 Davis Cup ties from 1988 to 1994 and won 16 of his 27 rubbers, 8 in singles and 8 in doubles. Although he was seen mostly on the Challenger circuit, Wright took part in the 1987 Seoul Open, a Grand Prix tournament. He was beaten in the opening round by Dutch player Michiel Schapers. Julian Barham (born February 23, 1965) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Biography Barham, who comes from Riverside, California, played collegiate tennis at UC Irvine before turning professional. Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, DeFoor played collegiate tennis for Clemson University and was an All-SEC selection in 1985. Paul Wekesa (born 2 July 1967) is a former professional tennis player from Kenya. He won 3 doubles titles, achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 100 and reached two tour-level quarterfinals at Auckland in 1989 and Seoul in 1995. Shuzo Matsuoka
is a retired Japanese professional tennis player, sports commentator, and entertainer. A former Wimbledon quarter-finalist, Matsuoka won one singles title during his career, in Seoul in 1992. In the same year, he reached a career-high ranking of world No. 46. Professional career Matsuoka turned professional in 1986. In 1989, he finished runner-up in the top-level tournament at Wellington, and captured the doubles title in Auckland. 1991 saw Matsuoka achieve his career-best Masters result, when he reached the quarter-finals of the 1991 Canada Masters in Montreal, beating Michael Chang in a dramatic 3-set battle en route. Steve Guy (born 15 March 1959) is a former professional tennis player from New Zealand. Career Guy appeared in the singles draw of three Australian Opens and never progressed past the second round. He did however, in the 1989 Australian Open, win the second set against third seed Boris Becker. In doubles he competed in five Grand Slams but registered just one win, in the 1988 Australian Open, with countryman Bruce Derlin. At the 1991 Australian Open, Guy partnered Swedish great Stefan Edberg. His only ATP Tour title came in the doubles at the 1989 Heineken Open in Auckland.
