Brownleea
''Brownleea'' is a genus of flowering plants from the orchid family, Orchidaceae native to Africa and Madagascar. Eight species are known. #'' Brownleea coerulea'' Harv. ex Lindl. #'' Brownleea galpinii'' Bolus #'' Brownleea graminicola'' McMurtry #'' Brownleea macroceras'' Sond. #'' Brownleea maculata'' P.J.Cribb #'' Brownleea mulanjiensis'' H.P.Linder #'' Brownleea parviflora'' Harv. ex Lindl. #'' Brownleea recurvata'' Sond. In a classification of orchids that was published in 2015, the genera ''Brownleea'' and ''Disperis'' constituted the subtribe Brownleeinae of the tribe Orchideae.Mark W. Chase, Kenneth M. List Of Orchidaceae Genera
This is a list of genera in the orchid family (Orchidaceae), originally according tThe Families of Flowering Plants- L. Watson and M. J. Dallwitz. This list is adapted regularly with the changes published in the ''Orchid Research Newsletter'' which is published twice a year by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. The most up to date list of accepted; genera, natural nothogenera, species and natural nothospecies with their synonyms can be found on the World Checklist of Selected Plants FamilieSearch Pagepublished by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. This list is reflected on Wikispecies Species:Orchidaceae, Orchidaceae and the new eMonocot websitOrchidaceae Juss. This Taxonomy (biology), taxonomy undergoes constant change, mainly through evidence from DNA study. Orchids were traditionally defined by morphological similarity (structure of their flowers and other parts). However, recent changes to nomenclature have been driven primarily by DNA studies and also by re-examination of herbarium ...

Orchideae
Orchideae is a tribe of orchids in the subfamily Orchidoideae. Historically, it was divided into 2 subtribes, Orchidinae and Habenariinae. The subtribe Orchidinae alone contains about 1,800 species. However, although some phylogenetic studies have established the monophyly of the subtribes, the generic boundaries are unclear, with many genera as traditionally circumscribed being paraphyletic or even polyphyletic. Species of genera such as '' Habenaria'' and '' Platanthera'' have been placed into both subtribes. A 2017 molecular phylogenetic study found that both subtribes did form clades, but did not formally recognize Habenariinae, because of missing genera and uncertainty over generic boundaries. The Asian species of Orchideae, in particular, have been subject to repeated changes of generic placement from 2012 onwards. As of 2017, Orchideae is divided into 6 subtribes: Brownleeinae, Pachitinae, Huttonaeinae, Orchidinae, Coryciinae, and Disinae. Subtribes Once divided into ...

Orchids Of Madagascar
Orchids are plants that belong to the family Orchidaceae (), a diverse and widespread group of flowering plants with blooms that are often colourful and fragrant. Along with the Asteraceae, they are one of the two largest families of flowering plants. The Orchidaceae have about 28,000 currently accepted species, distributed in about 763 genera. (See ''External links'' below). The determination of which family is larger is still under debate, because verified data on the members of such enormous families are continually in flux. Regardless, the number of orchid species is nearly equal to the number of bony fishes, more than twice the number of bird species, and about four times the number of mammal species. The family encompasses about 6–11% of all species of seed plants. The largest genera are ''Bulbophyllum'' (2,000 species), ''Epidendrum'' (1,500 species), ''Dendrobium'' (1,400 species) and ''Pleurothallis'' (1,000 species). It also includes ''Vanilla'' (the genus of the ...
