Brothers (2015 Film)
''Brothers'' is a 2015 Hindi-language sports action drama film, based on Mixed Martial arts (MMA) directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Dharma Productions, Lionsgate Films and Endemol India. A co-production between India and the United States, it is an official remake of the 2011 American film ''Warrior'', it stars Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra with Jacqueline Fernandez, Jackie Shroff and Shefali Shah in supporting roles. The first look poster of the film was released on 9 March 2015 and film was released on 14 August 2015 on Independence Day weekend. Karan Malhotra
Karan Ravi Malhotra is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Hindi films. He is best known for directing '' Agneepath'' (2012). Career Karan Malhotra worked as an assistant director for films such as ''Main Hoon Na'' (2004), ''Lakshya'' (2004), ''Jodhaa Akbar'' (2008), and ''My Name Is Khan'' (2010). He made his directorial debut with ''Agneepath'' (2012), a remake of the 1990 film of the same name. Unrealized projects Malhotra and his wife Ekta Pathak Malhotra began working on the screenplay for ''Shuddhi'', which was scheduled for a Diwali 2016 release and was produced by Dharma Productions. A narrative work beginning ''in medias res'' (, "into the middle of things") opens in the chronological middle of the plot, rather than at the beginning (cf. '' ab ovo'', '' ab initio'').
