Brother Brown
Brother Brown (founded 1995 and disbanded in 2004) was a Danish house music duo, consisting of Atle Rønne Thorberg and Henrik Olsen. In the later half of the 1990s and beginning of the 2000s, Brother Brown made numerous remixes, most significantly of Madonna and of the Pet Shop Boys. Three of their remixes reached No. 1 on the ''Billboard'' Dance Chart: Madonna's "Die Another Day", Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" and Cher's version of " When the Money's Gone". Brother Brown's most significant release was "Under the Water" which featured Danish female folk vocalist Marie Frank. "Under the Water" reached No. 18 on the UK Singles Chart and won Brother Brown a Danish Grammy in 2000. Amira (singer)
Amira Rasheed, or simply known as Amira, is a dance music singer best known for the song "My Desire" which charted three times on the UK Singles Chart, with its highest position at No. 20 in 2001. It also reached No. 1 on the UK Dance Singles Chart for one week in its first release in December 1997, and was also the first number one Dance hit of 1998 after it climbed back to the top of the chart three weeks later in the week ending 3 January 1998. The song was produced by house music group Blaze, and each release contains numerous mixes of the song, with a popular UK garage mix by the Dreem Teem. "Beautiful" is a song recorded by American singer Christina Aguilera for her fourth studio album, ''Stripped'' (2002). It was released as the album's second single on November 16, 2002. "Die Another Day" is the theme song from the James Bond film of the same name by American singer and songwriter Madonna. The song initially leaked onto the internet in early October 2002 prior to the official release, prompting radio to play the track. It was released commercially as a single on October 22 by Maverick Records. The single was then included on her ninth studio album '' American Life'' (2003) as well as on her greatest hits compilation, ''Celebration'' (2009). Following the release of the previous Bond single, "The World Is Not Enough", MGM wanted a high-profile artist for the theme of ''Die Another Day'', and Madonna was their choice. Catatonia (band)
Catatonia were an alternative rock band from Wales who gained popularity in the mid-to-late 1990s. The band formed in 1992 after Mark Roberts met Cerys Matthews and Kirsty Kennedy. The first major lineup featured Dafydd Ieuan of Super Furry Animals on drums, Paul Jones on bass, and Clancy Pegg on keyboards. With this line-up the band recorded two EPs, '' For Tinkerbell'' and ''Hooked''. Pegg was fired prior to work on their first studio album, '' Way Beyond Blue'', and during the recording of the album the band was joined by drummer Aled Richards, replacing Ieuan, who left to focus full-time on Super Furry Animals. "Joy!" is a song by the English rock band Gay Dad from their first album, '' Leisure Noise'', released as a single on 24 May 1999. The line-up of the band has included Cliff Jones (guitarist/vocalist), Nick "Baz" Crowe (drummer), James Riseboro (keyboardist), Nigel Hoyle (bassist) and Charley Stone.
