Brooklyn Moors
Brooklyn Chloe Moors (born February 23, 2001) is a Canadian artistic gymnast who competed at the 2020 Olympic Games. She has also represented Canada at the 2017, 2018, and 2019 World Championships. At the 2017 World Championships she became the first Canadian to win the Longines Prize for Elegance. She is the 2019 Pan American Games champion on the floor exercise and the silver medalist with the team. She is also the 2017 Pan American champion on the floor exercise. She currently competes for the UCLA Bruins in collegiate gymnastics. Early life Brooklyn Chloe Moors was born on February 23, 2001, in Cambridge, Ontario. She is the younger sister of 2012 Olympic gymnast Victoria Moors, and she was inspired to begin gymnastics when she was three years old because of Victoria. 2017 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2017 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships was the forty-seventh edition of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The competition was held from October 2–8, 2017, at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The event marked the first time since 2003 that the Championships had been held in North America. Montreal was also the host of the 1985 World Championships and the 1976 Summer Olympics. 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in Stuttgart, Germany from October 4–13, 2019. The championships took place at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, and was the third time the city of Stuttgart hosted the event following the 1989 and 2007 editions, and the fifth time Germany hosted it. As of October 2, 92 federations registered gymnasts for the event with a total of 288 men and 259 women. Sam Mikulak of the United States and Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos of France won the Longines Prize for Elegance. Both mark a first for their respective countries: de Jesus dos Santos is the first gymnast from France to win this prize, and Mikulak is the first male gymnast from the United States to win one. Ahtziri Sandoval
Ahtziri Viridiana Sandoval Pérez (born October 5, 1996 in Guadalajara) is a Mexican artistic gymnast. She is the 2017 Pan American champion on vault. Early life Sandoval was born in Guadalajara on October 5, 1996. She began practicing gymnastics at age five. Career 2014 Sandoval competed at the Pan American Championships, where she helped Mexico finish third as a team. Individually, she received bronze on the uneven bars behind Ashton Locklear and Madison Kocian. 2015 Sandoval competed at the São Paulo Challenge Cup, where she placed sixth on both vault and uneven bars. In July, she competed at the Pan American Games where she helped Mexico finish fifth as a team. Shallon Olsen
Shallon Jade Olsen (born 10 July 2000) is a Canadian artistic gymnast. She is the 2018 World silver medalist and 2018 Commonwealth Games champion on vault. She is also the 2018 Commonwealth Games floor exercise bronze medalist and the 2019 Pan American Games vault bronze medalist. She was a member of the Canadian team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the silver medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. She is also the 2016 Pacific Rim vault champion, team silver medalist, and floor exercise bronze medalist. Hitomi Hatakeda
is a Japanese former artistic gymnast who competed at the 2020 Olympic Games. She is the 2019 Summer Universiade champion in the team, all-around, uneven bars, and balance beam. She is also the 2020 American Cup all-around bronze medalist. Early life Hatakeda Hitomi was born on 1 September 2000 in Machida, Tokyo. Her father, Yoshiaki Hatakeda, won a bronze medal at the 1992 Olympics in the team event. Her mother Yukiko is also a former gymnast and Hatakeda's personal coach. She began gymnastics at age eight because her parents encouraged her to try the sport. Her younger sister, Chiaki, is also an elite gymnast. The vault is an artistic gymnastics apparatus which gymnasts perform on, as well as the skill performed using that apparatus. Vaulting is also the action of performing a vault. Both male and female gymnasts perform the vault. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is VT. Balance Beam
The balance beam is a rectangular artistic gymnastics apparatus and an event performed using the apparatus. Both the apparatus and the event are sometimes simply referred to as "beam". The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is BB. The beam is a small, thin beam which is typically raised from the floor on a leg or stand at both ends. The balance beam is only performed competitively by female gymnasts. Beams are usually covered with leather-like material and are only four inches wide.
