''Broken Down'' is an acoustic album from American pop punk band Mest. On November 13, 2013, a Kickstarter was started by Tony Lovato, and was successfully funded December 11. Much of the songs are acoustic renditions of songs from almost all their albums except "Mo' Money, Mo' 40z" and Not What You Expected. Mest
Mest is an American Rock music, rock band originally formed by lead vocalist and guitarist Tony Lovato, bassist Matt Lovato, drummer Nick Gigler, and guitarist Jeremiah Rangel. They broke up in 2006 after eleven years, but temporarily reformed in California in 2008 for a "final tour." Tony released “Not What You Expected” in 2013 and it was announced in 2018 that the classic lineup of Mest, with Tony Lovato, Matt Lovato, Nick Gigler, and Jeremiah Rangel, would be getting back together to track Masquerade. Pop-punk (also punk-pop, alternatively spelled without the hyphen) is a rock music fusion genre that combines elements of punk rock with power pop or pop music, pop. Alternative Rock
Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Acoustic Music
Acoustic music is music that solely or primarily uses instruments that produce sound through acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means. While all music was once acoustic, the retronym "acoustic music" appeared after the advent of electric instruments, such as the electric guitar, electric violin, electric organ and synthesizer. Anthony Cappiello John Lovato (born June 20, 1980) is an American musician who serves as the vocalist and guitarist of the pop punk band Mest. Early life Lovato was born in Blue Island, Illinois. He started getting involved in music at 12 years old and played drums for the White power music, White power band Confederate Storm. Lovato later condemned his actions, stating that he left the band at the age of 13 or 14, thinking, "This isn't who I am. I've got Mexican friends and I've got black friends, and I don't dislike them, so how can I be part of this when my true feelings are everything that's not that?" He later became involved in anti-racist activism, drawing on his experience to educate others on issues of race and influence. ''Photographs'' is the fifth studio album by American pop punk band Mest. Release On July 12, 2005, ''Photographs'' was announced for release later in the year; following this, the band performed on the main stage of that year's Warped Tour. On August 7, 2005, "Kiss Me, Kill Me" and "Take Me Away (Cried Out to Heaven)" were posted on the band's Myspace profile. The band supported Social Distortion on their headlining US tour from September 2005. On October 12, 2005, the music video for "Take Me Away (Cried Out to Heaven)" was posted online. That same day, Mest had to drop off the Social Distortion tour because of drummer Nick Gigler developing Carpal tunnel syndrome; they were replaced by Bullets and Octane.
