Broken Bones are an English hardcore punk band, formed in 1983 by Anthony "Bones" Roberts. He soon recruited his brother Terence "Tezz" Roberts. Bones and Tezz had previously played in the band Discharge. They took their influences from their time in Discharge as a basis for Broken Bones, but infused a faster and more "metal" influenced sound, helping evolve the genre known as crossover thrash. ''Broken Bones'' is the eleventh studio album by the American heavy metal band Dokken. It was released in Europe on 21 September 2012 and in the US on September 25, 2012. It features session drummer Jimmy DeGrasso as Mick Brown couldn't record due to scheduling conflicts, which makes ''Broken Bones'' the first Dokken album without him and also their only album to feature bassist Sean McNabb. Aside from the standard edition CD, a special edition was released in Europe with a thirty-minute DVD feature of the making of the album. ''Broken Bones'' sold around 2,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release and landed at position No. 173 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. It was released in November 1997 as the first single from the album ''Love Inc.'' and as a cut on the ''Club Cutz 3'' compilation released by RCA Records in the United States. ''Universes'' is the second album from Birds of Tokyo, independently released on 5 July 2008, through MGM Distribution. The album was recorded at Loop Studios in West Perth, Wing Command in Perth, Western Australia and in "a big beautiful wooden house by the sea" at Injidup (Yallingup, Western Australia). Mixing for the album took place in North Hollywood, California by Tim Palmer at Ameraycan Studios. During this mixing process the band filmed the music videos for "Broken Bones" and " Silhouettic" in Lancaster, California. These two music videos join together to form one complete story. However, the video for "Silhouettic", which features the second part of the story, was released first on the band's official website and their official Myspace page. The debut single from the album, "Silhouettic", was released as a free download from the band's official website on 14 April 2008.
