Brock Gowanlock
Brock Gowanlock (born July 11, 1996) is a Canadian football defensive end for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Junior career Gowanlock played for the Langley Rams of the Canadian Junior Football League from 2014 to 2015 as a defensive tackle. University career Gowanlock was recruited to play for the Manitoba Bisons football, Manitoba Bisons of U Sports football, where he played from 2016 to 2021. He played in 38 total games where he had 177 total tackles, 11 sacks, and five forced fumbles. Professional career Gowanlock was drafted in the eighth round, 66th overall, by the Montreal Alouettes in the 2020 CFL Draft. However, he did not play in 2020 due to the cancellation of both the 2020 CFL season and the 2020 U Sports football season. Defensive End
Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an " end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. When most teams adopted a five-man line, two different styles of end play developed: "crashing" ends, who rushed into the backfield to disrupt plays, and "stand-up" or "waiting" ends, who played the more traditional containment style. The Manitoba Bisons are the athletic teams that represent the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The football team plays their games at Investors Group Field. The soccer team play their home games at the University of Manitoba Soccer Fields while the track and field teams use the University Stadium as their home track. The 2023 Montreal Alouettes season was the 56th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 68th overall. The Alouettes qualified for the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season following their week 17 win over the Ottawa Redblacks. 2020 CFL Season
The 2020 CFL season would have been the 67th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it would have been the 63rd season of the Canadian Football League. It was originally scheduled to begin on June 11; on April 7, the start of the season was delayed to begin no sooner than July due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada.
